  1. Well I called them again and spoke to the person who is doing the interview this time. She said that she literally picked out a bunch of people on ESA at random and there's nothing more to it. I asked if it was a compliance interview and she said it was! (even though I was told yesterday it was not). She said the interview would be about 30 mins long.
  2. Thanks for the reply, really helpful. Seems so strange as its Contribution Based ESA? So why the need for my bank statements and all the financial questions as Contribution Based it does not matter about savings etc? I just can't figure out what its about. They pretty much said it was a random thing when I called the Jobcenter in question? So whether it is a compliance interview or it is not, neither is sinister? So all the other people on the forum who have had one lately, whats been the out come of some of them?
  3. Hello all, Hope someone can help. I receive DLA Lower rate Mobility and Middle rate care and Contribution based Employment and Support Allowance in the support group since about 17 months now. I do not receive Income related ESA or any income related benefits at all, nor do I receive the IR ESA on-top of my CB based ESA. Today I received a letter saying The letter is called a GLED MF47 You will be aware that we review all Benefit claims from time to time, generally is in a response to Changes in the law When you report a change to your circumstances When information is supplied to us by third party sources We are reviewing your current claim to Employment and Support Allowance to ensure that you are receiving the correct benefit and rate of payment. An appointment has been arranged for you to attend the cementer on.... To assist us in making a correct determination in your case, please complete the questionnaire below and provide your response in writing at this appointment along with any evidence requested eg bank statements. If there have been any changes t your circumstances that you have not already told us about, you should take this opportunity to do so. You should call us immediately. By doing so you will minimise any possibility that you will have to: Refund any over payments of benefit and help avoid the possibility of further action being taken We advise that should you fail to respond to this request, it may result in your payments being suspended and the ultimate closure of your claim to benefit. Do you have a partner that lives with you? Are you divorced/separate? Please list all occupants of your households , the relationship to you and dates of birth Do you own any other property? Do you have any of the following? Bank/building society? ISA? Savings / investments? Have you ever been self employed? have you done any paid work since making a claim to benefit, including part time work? If you have answered YES to question 8 then please bring details including dates, details of employer and earnings to your appointment. Do you have any other income apart from your benefits? If you are looking for work at the moment, how long do you spend looking for work per day? Do you have online access at home? The above have been read over to me and I agree that this is true and complete account of my circumstances., I know and understand that I must notify all changes in my circumstances to the DWP and failures to do so may result in action being taken against me... Signed . DWP WITNESS Date –-------------------------------------------------------- I called the number on the letter to the job centre and they were very vague and I think said its to confirm your ID, I asked why I needed to bring in Bank statements as I was on CB ESA and they said you still have too. I called the 0845 number for ESA and they said its an ad – hock interview and that only the job centre know why they sent you the letter and that they may have made a mistake and think your in the work related group and need to update their details? I also asked the job centre in question if it was a compliance interview and they said no. I recently got married and moved address and informed the DWP of this. On the 0845 number they also said that there’s no question in relation to your health as you just had a review 2 months ago and your next medical review is not until 2 years from now. I also went to my local CAB and showed them the letter and they said its just random thing and nothing to worry about, but I didn't get to see a proper advisor though I don’t think. I don't get a pension of any kind as I am far too young for that. My questions are 1) does anyone know what this could all be about? 2) Could it be anything to do with my medical situation? Surely not as wouldn't I be asked to go for a medical if there was a question over my health? 3) Is it right my benefits are being threatened if I don’t go to the interview as I am in the support group? Hope someone can help?
  4. Hello, I was just wondering what is going to happen with Incapacity Benefit as now and in the past you can appeal if you fail your medical for incapacity benefit which most people do fail. Now with the new goverment wanting to cut the figure down are you still able to appeal if you fail?
