  1. Hi....What letter do you have in your possession that you speak of in your post#1?It's a Notice of Sums in Arrears dated 18/05/11 - I do have a scanned PDF but don't have full acrobat to remove my details :(Further, please try and respond to para 1 of my post#10It was verbal from Payplan - this is what they said the notes were on the system.Another thing i've just thought of - the account was with A & L but i've been corresponding with someone with a Westcot email address - are they part of Santander?“Spoke to Victoria - cleared security - she gave me a balance of £3071.44 - all interest etc is frozen”
  2. Hi,I've done that - did it on 19/05 but am still nowhere :(Being passed from pillar to post with noone responding to my comms.
  3. Hi,Could really do with some advice! the plot just gets thicker and thicker! Payplan has called them and they told Payplan that I still owe over £2500!!!! This is really making me ill and I know that i'm in the right and I know that I don't owe them anymore money. I am tempted to sue them for distress - is this possible? Thanks!!!!
  4. Hi,The settlement was aggreed verbally by Payplan.Santandar have now confirmed that the account is closed but I am still persuing a formal complaint.I suffer with mental health issues (anxiety and depression) and this has been making me ill.Now i've got confirmation that the account is settled and closed i'm going to send the SAR. Is there a template for when they dont respond? Many Thanks xxxx
  5. Would it be best to send the request first and not go into the branch?
  6. I have emailed the form to work and shall be sending tomorrow. Thanks xx
  7. I haven't as I thought this was all done and dusted - I though it was all over until today! The girl on the phone couldn't tell me anything, just kept saying that the account was written off.
  8. Hi, Sorry if i've posted in the wrong area!!! I had quite a few debts and was with Payplan. In Nov/Dec I made full settlements and paid everything off. Everything is showing on my credit file as settled apart from an A&L/Santander unsecured loan. I have queried this with them for months now and they keep saying that they will update it. Today I have received a letter from them dated 13/05/11 which is a Notice of Sums in Arrears. On the front page it says that I am £562.21 in arrears. Yet when you look at the reverse it states...... Date Transactions Credits (£) Debits(£) Balance(£) 14/11/2010 Opening Balance 2509.23 23/11/2010 Payment Received TY 37.26 2471.97 01/12/2010 Payment Received TY 2471.97 0.00 01/12/2010 Payment Received TY 599.47 599.47CR 13/05/2011 Net Balance 599.47CR 13/05/2011 Outstanding Interest 562.21 37.26CR 13/05/2011 Gross Balance 37.26CR I've just got off the phone with them.... First they tell me that I owe 2 thousand and odd pounds Then they tell me that the account was written off and the last payment they have on record was from 2009 They can't tell me where the account has supposedly been passed too She can't see the payment that I made to settle the account and she basically called me a liar when I said I have a letter stating the above (which is on their headed paper) It ended up with her telling me to go in to a branch with the letter... Where do I go now? I don't remember ever receiving a letter to say the debt was sold (but then I didn't really open my post) so I may have had one (the debt is showing on my credit file as being with Santander) I want to give them hell
  9. Hi, Firstly may I thank you for any help you can offer and apologies if i've posted in the wrong area! I am currently living in my Mums house and due to her death I am having to sell (had an offer, waiting for the sale to go trough) I am on a DMP with Payplan and all my debts will be settled once the house as sold and the estate as been settled I have horrendous credit but my other halves is pretty perfect. And my nerves are shot to pieces about where we can live! I have emailed some letting agents and they are unable to help due to my credit! Once the estate has been settled and I have the money, I will be able to pay rent in advance but currently have no way of showing how much money I will get (I will have more than enough to pay 1 yrs rent) Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Any advice would be fab!!!
  10. Thanks LoobyLoo, The thing that i'm worried about by leaving it to Payplan is that they may not be in Full and Final Settlement. Do you know of anyone had any experience with F & F though Payplan? x
  11. Hi FS, Thanks for your reply - 1 loan, credit cards, bank account and a catalogue No PPI, haven't CCA'd - TONS of charges on the bank account but had some back (settled years ago before I knew better). To be honest, I just want everything cleared and to have a clean slate which would be soooo nice! Just waiting for the house to sell then everything should be good
  12. Thanks Mrs Hobbit I thought it may be best to do it myself but the only problem I can see is that I have no idea how much to offer - I don't even know how much is outstanding. Would it be best to write to them and ask them for a figure (I will be in a position to pay full amounts if nessesary) Many Thanks
  13. Hi All, Firstly may I thank you in advance for any help you can offer and apologies if I have posted in the wrong area! I have around 8/9k of unsecured debt and am currently in a DMP with Payplan. In the near future (as soon as the house sells) I will be in a position to clear all my debts completely but am unsure about the best way to do this. Should I pass it onto the Payplan settlements team or should I contact all my creditors and do it myself. I am worried that if I leave it to payplan that the settlements may not be full and final? Is anyone in/has anyone been in a similar situation? Many Thanks for all your help
  14. The broker said because of my bad credit It's now down to 3 defaults
  15. Hi All, Firstly may I thank you all in advance for any help you can offer! I have a lot of debt (about £8900) and 4 defaults (3 accounts but for some reason the Shabbey National has logged 2 against the same account and I am in the process of having them remove this). I also have 2 credit cards and a mobile phone which are paid on time and not in default. My Mum died last year leaving her house and all other assets to me. The house is worth about 80K and I need approx £25k to settle the estate. I am currently going through a mortgage broker to see if they can help me raise approx £40k to settle the estate and also pay off all my debts. I was just wondering if there's any point with me persuing this line of action or would I be best selling the house to my better half (who has good credit but is not aware of my situation) for say £30k and gifting him my equity as a deposit (or if this even possible)?!?!
