  1. The o2 debt was mine, (i havent heard from them in over a year) this is my husbands name etc....
  2. Hubby said he had a HSBC account a long time ago in hiw last marriage which is over 6 years ago.....I suspect it may be SB. We just cancelled our 30 day credit expert trial, and it didnt show up on there....
  3. Hubby received a letter this morning - front cover with HSBC logo on it and back letter from Lowell. It basically states HSBC have sold Lowell a debt etc etc. I have been with hubby 3 years and have never heard of this debt (I open all the mail). I rang him at work and he doesnt remember anything relevant to the amount. The letter states the debt is to HSBC, but not what for (credit card, overdraft....) What do we do? Ignore it?
  4. Can they come to my house legally?
  5. I've not spoken to Sky as yet. I haven't been at my current address for 6 years but have been away from that one for almost that (I think its actually about 5 but was abroad for 3 years). I am having nightmares about debt collectors now - this is just silly. The only reason I haven't rung sky is because I was working on the basis they have to prove I owe the debt, not the other way around? I am reluctant to confirm my old address with these people as who knows what'll end up on my doorstep next?
  6. So it took them a while but got a response from PastDue asking me to confirm an old address. It is my old address (about 6 years ago almost!) and we didn't have Sky there we had Virgin. It says: " I have advised Philips Homecoll to stop pursuing the balance, so no agents will be visiting your property. I have also placed a hold on the account for 14 days. If you could please respond to my query within 2 weeks I would be grateful. Once I have the information from yourself, I will be happy to have this investigated with Sky. Alternatively I have a contact number for Sky, if you wish to contact them direct." So do I confirm that is my old address or are they phishing? What do you think guys?
  7. Thanks. I have sent them this, and copied in PastDue too. " I today recieved a letter from yourselves regarding a debt I do not acknowledge. It has been passed to you by PastDue Credit Solutions Ltd, whom I have repeatedly informed I do not have any knowledge of such debt with BSkyB, or themselves. I am emailing, to once again inform you I am not the owner of this debt. I am not and never have been a customer of Sky. I do not appreciate the harrassment by PastDue or yourselves, with the underlying threat of court action or home visits by bailiffs. If such a home visit was to occur I would not hesitate in contacting the police to have such agents removed from my property. I have also reported both PastDue Credit Solutions and yourselves to OFT and Trading Standards as you have both failed to comply with my rights. I find such situations extremely stressful at the best of times. However I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and have recently been in hospital due to stress. If this situation were to continue where I feel harrassed for a debt I DO NOT OWE that leads to the detioration of either mine or my child's health please be ensured I will not hesitate to take legal action. Your reference number can be found in the subject line. I hope only to hear from you to confirm this matter is closed."
  8. OK I have reported them to Consumer Direct. If I ignore Philips is this likely to escalate? Only I am 33 weeks pregnant, and have been ill recently threatening the health of both myself and the baby. The stress of bailiffs on my doorstep is not something I need right now. Thanks for the pointer too.
  9. I have now sent two letters to PastDue regarding this matter, and no response. Now got a letter from Phillips. Was planning to send copies of the letters I have sent to Pastdue with a very obnoxious cover letter to Philips telling them to basically eff off. Pees me off this does
  10. That's just it. I know NOTHING about this debt. I have never had anything to do with Sky, so I know I don't owe any money. There is no information offered about it by the DCA (surprise, surprise!). So its anyone's guess!
  11. OK I will resend the letter thanks How do I complain to the ICO?
  12. A few weeks ago I received a letter from these people telling me I had an outstanding debt of £50 for Bskyb. Now I have never been a customer of Sky, never had any correspondence from them in relation to this matter, and quite frankly have no idea what PDCS are talking about. Having had some problems with another debt collection agency recently, I sent PDCS a standard "prove it letter" (template I found online) stating I did not acknowledge the debt etc.... Well it seems they have blatantly ignored me, as I now had a letter on my doorstep stating "notice of impending court action" What do I do next please?
  13. I have had a letter from O2 confirming the debt and that they cannot prove I paid it when I think I did, and being as I can't prove it either I think I am stuck with paying it. If I call Lowell will they want huge repayments off me so it is cleared quickly? I am on benefits and can spare very little... I read somewhere I shouldn't pay Lowell I should pay O2, but if I have written confirmation that the account has been passed to Lowell then I guess that doesn't count? Also I heard that by initiating payments with Lowell will ecnourage other DCA's out of the woodwork....is this true?
