  1. Hi, am desperate for some advice please! I sent in my tax credit renewal 8 weeks ago now. Am still getting the same payments. Ive been ringing the office weekly only to be told that my renewal is still in the process of renewal. I have had 2 compliance checks in the past 2 years which were closed and no further action but im paranoid that im being investigated again. The stress of having no money for 3 months while they checked paper work and questioned me was very stressful. Am i right to feel paranoid? Am i likley to have random checks due to having being investigated a couple of times in the past? Also, i have a change of circumstances to declare soon with regards to income, reduction of childcare cost and my boyfriend moving in so do i wait til renewal is completed? I know i would need to make a new claim but would the outstanding claim put a hold on the new claim? Are new claims taking approx 3 months to be completed? Im feeling so sick with worry. I dread dealing with tax credits. Find it all daunting and stressful
  2. Well, i didnt end up going to get the crisis loan as i was informed that my claim now "unstuck" on their system. That was yesterday, however, no payment details are showing yet. Im praying that it goes through to my account by friday at the latest.
  3. Thanx again for your help. Latest is that my claim still "stuck" in system but i can go to benefits office and be given a weeks worth of money. That was offered,i didnt need to fight for it. Hopefully my claim will be sorted by next week. I will update my progress.
  4. Yes id have to. How do i "argue" that i have a case? I felt a bit fobbed off when i enquired about one.
  5. Thanks for your reply. Im working tmrw - i usually pay my c/minder on a monday.
  6. Well, im still waiting for payment! I am told that as my name is still showing on previous claim which there system hasnt closed down ( even tho they actioned it on their comp system ) my pymt on new claim cant be paid yet even tho its authorised. Find it confusing! Cant get crisis loan for some reason. Officer said wait to see what monday brings. Trouble is that ive almost ran out of money which ive borrowed and cant pay my childminder next week
  7. Thanks for your help The compliance officer told me that the claim was now authorised and in payment - she wouldnt of lied about that or retract it? Ive spoken to tax credits and compliance dept about hardship and ive not got anywhere I love my job and dont want to lose it but at this rate ive no choice, I will ring cab. Thank you
  8. Thanks for your reply. Ive got a huge headache over all this. Do you know, if i get a new partner and decided to live together should i expect to get investigated for the third time? What if me and my husband decide to work at our marriage but not live together til we worked through our problems? If that were to happen id be scared to let him move back in! Surely many couples split and get back together! Why is the officer still asking questions if she has approved the claim and its in the system? Im paranoid that my every move is going to be watched. Ive had no money for weeks. Dont know how im going to pay my childminder next week and therefore i could potentially lose my job if this doesnt get sorted!
  9. Hi I had a tax credit investiagtion 18 months ago looking into my single claim. It was settled fine a fews weeks later. I got back with my husband a few months later so we made a joint claim. My husband left 6 weeks ago so ive rang to make a single claim. Ive had to send in bank statments, work contract,p60 and childcare contract which i have done. The compliance officer said that she is allowing my claim to go through and its now in the system but cant tell me when il actually get any money. The compliance officer is asking lots of questions about my relationship with my husband. I told her he left, its not been stable for a number of years due to lots of personal reasons. We have split, got back together about 4 times over the last decade. My husband does have a new address, all his belongings there, own account and bills ect...but we do have a joint mortgage and children together. Now,if i were to find a new partner or, get back with my husband ,will i automatically have to go through this compliance again? Once investigated always investigated? Dont have anything to hide but the process takes its time and its very stressful! I would like to sort things out with my husband but ater these questions today i feel like im not allowed to have a relationship as tax credits will be questioning?? Plus, my husband will still be coming around to see his children and look after them when im working late/nights. Am very confused and stressed!
  10. I split with hubby last month so i rang to advise tax credits. They stopped the joint claim and did a single claim over the phone and said it would take up to 3 weeks to sort out. The 3 weeks is up and has been reffered to a different dept in Wembley,Middlesex. Ive got to send in the last 5 months worth of payslips, contract of employment,p60,bank statemens and childcare receipts/contract. Im so upset about not being asked weeks ago to send this info in, got no money, no way of paying childminder, therefore, cannot go to work! Then there is the fact how am i going to survive til i get paid from work ( have canx non essential direct debits ). Ive sent them all the info i can but some i have had to request copies to be sent. Im so stressed out that this is going to take ages to sort out. Ive lost my hubby, possibly my home in the future and maybe my job as i have no money to pay for childcare! Anyone been in similar poition? How long did it take? I cant find one months bank statement requested - will that matter? Sorry for all the questions - stressed out single mum of 4 here! x
