  1. Thank you for this - never thought of contacting my local MP but will now. Also thought of a letter to our local paper.
  2. Hi Crem - thanks for your prompt reply - it only has Excel's name on it so should I pay or let them take me to court?
  3. Can anyone out there help me please? I have recently received 2 parking tickets from Excel - one for parking in a disabled bay without setting my clock (I forgot) so they charged me for being over the limit of 3 hours, although I was only there for an hour - I gave in and paid that one as it was my mistake (£40) as they scared me by threatening me with court action - sounds familiar looking at the other comments on this site. Then 2 weeks ago got another one in the same place (Kingswood Hull) for parking in a disabled bay with valid disabled badge - but the date was unclear as part of it was accidentally obscured by my sat nav mat. Refused to pay this and sent a letter of appeal with a photocopy of my car badge. Their response stated that I was still liable and that signs were available which stated that the badge should be in the windscreen (which it was) and the date should be clearly visible. I went to Kingswood to check the signs were there - after a lot of hunting found them about 10 foot high with small print on it. As I am four foot and a peanut there is no way on this earth that I or any other wheelchair user could see them. The only ones at ground level were as you drive in and you wouldn't be able to physically stop to read them. If I had parked in an ordinary bay on both occasions I would not have had a ticket. On both occasions I was parking legally as a disabled person in a disabled person's bay showing a valid disabled person's badge. This seems ludicrous and morally wrong and I want to challenge them rather than pay the £100 they say I shall owe from the 7 May 2010. Any advice welcome please.
