  1. I have just got off the phone to Ge-money after requesting information on my account. They said I have made 3 late payments on my account in the past 3 years and I have total charges of £146, which I apparently havent paid yet. I asked them how i should go about paying it and he said it is now gaining interest and they will add it to my loan further down the line within the 30 years im paying them back.... CHEEKY BASTARDS!!!! so basically, the £146 i owe them now is going to be added on in about 10 years after gaining interest and so i will end up owing them about £5000 or something, just from my charges, unless i can make a payment whenever possible to clear the charges, which i am going to do come payday. They deliberately avoid telling their customers this unless you ask them, just so they can gain lots and lots of extra cash off you. i strongly advise anyone who has a mortgage or a loan with ge-money to ring them asap and ask them if you have any outstanding charges on your account. you dont wanna end up owing thousands to them in a few years just because you got a £25 charge on a payment. DONT PUT THIS OFF... RING THEM NOW!!!!! I fear that the majority of customers who have made late payments think they have already paid the £25 penalty, but you havent so CHECK NOW!!!!
  2. first of all, i am NOT a GE money employee. at the moment, me and my girlfriend are paying 7.69% interest on a mortgage and the fixed rate is due to finish in july. after reading a lot of posts online about how they charge mad interest rates to people i decided to ring them and have just this minute got off the phone... our new rates will be around 4% after our fixed period expires. i am very happy with this as i thought we would end up paying 12% or something like that. is there something i should be aware of about this? should i expect them to dramatically raise the rates after a few months on the new rates?
  3. not yet. i have had a letter off them saying that they have recieved my decision in the letter overleaf they originally sent me, but im not sure how long its going to take now. ill let u know when i get it.
  4. I have been on the course for 15 months and not even passed the A+ essentials yet. I have paid so far £2400 to Hitachi capital and i have got an offer back of £1240. Its a rip-of but im just gonna take it and carry on with my studies by myself. cant be bothered holding out for another few months just to get another £400 quid off them or something like that. God luck to everyone else
