  1. As near as we can assertain the wall would have been built at the time our home was built, that being 1967. I would think regarding quality of build this would be checked by the building inspector during construction. As I have said at the end of March the wall was standing but during the month of April it could be seen to be going over until 2 weeks ago it went over during the night. Should add there was no way anything cound be done to prop it up as on the side away from out propery there is a thick hawthorn hedge, so this makes it impossible to reach from that side.
  2. I have now submitted a new copy of the letter. The wall is a brick/block retaining wall. By the way the assessor spoke if the wall had been hit with say a car then the insurers would have paid up, but because the storm damage (wet April) happened over a period then we were not covered.
  3. Assessor Report.pdfNon Payment for storm damage. Two weeks ago we had a retaining wall at the bottom of the drive collapse. This wall was standing at the end of March, then with all the rain we had in April we noticed the wall starting to leen over and then as I said two weeks ago the wall went over. On Tuesday of this week we had a visit from an assessor sent by Churchill. After inspecting the wall and other damage it had caused she said Churchill were not resposible for payment as it was not covered by our policy. Yet the policy say's we are covered for storm damage, land slip, land heave and subsidence. I have attached the letter the assessor left me. Where should I go from here.

  5. I have now received a Final Account (hopefully) from Scottish Power for the sum of ₤30.26. I assume this is what the Care team have sorted out, I will have to wait to see wether I get any more bills. LOL
  6. Thanks for taking the trouble to read my complaint to your company. I have today spoken by telephone to one of your Care Team and hopefully it is now sorted. I will report back when I receive the next (6th) final account. :)
  7. Well, still in dispute with Scottish Power. I am now dealing with their Customer Care Team, who I hate to say do not seem any better than the rest.
  8. Is it possibel to give me a name to address my complaint to.
  9. I have come to the conclusion that Scottish Power are a nightmare. Ali Barber and the 40 thieves have nothing on Scottish Power, if they can get away with it.
  10. In February this year I changed my energy supplier from Scottish Power to British Gas. British Gas took over the supply of Electricity on the 1st March & Gas from the 5th March. Since the change over I have received from them final gas accounts of varying amounts as follows : 12/03/10 27.91 Final Gas account. 15/03/10 8.48 Final Gas account 16/03 10 23.27 Final Gas account 17/03/10 31.51 Final Gas account 26/03/10 45.05 Final Gas account (by email). I was also informed on 15/03/10 that I was in credit at the closing of my electricity account by 39.43 which would be transferred to my gas account & this does not show in the details of the bills I have. The account for 31.51 is for the period 20/02/10 to 14/03/10, even though they admit British gas took over the supply of gas on the 5th. Every time I contact them by email I get a different representative replying and a different debit. After receiving the bill for 31.51 I informed them that they had not taken into account the credit of 39.43, so they in fact owed me 7.92. This was totally ignored by them & they sent me a bill for 45.05. Help please.
