  1. It hardly seems fair justice when they are running a domestic cleaning business from the house and one of their machines catches fire that someone else suffers a loss.
  2. Hi, They run a domestic cleanig franchise from their property which they rent and were operating at least one tumble dryer in the garage 24hrs a day which caught fire. I claimed on my insurance but the loss adjuster claimed that I was underinsured for rebuild costs . The total repair was £3360 and I had to pay £1600. Future premiums have doubled for perhaps 5 years The other party have denied they operate the business from there but that is a lie. If a fire started on my property and damaged somebody elses I would assume it was my responsibility Thanks for your interest
  3. A fire in an adjoining garage damaged the roof of my garage and I have been told by the Insurance Loss adjuster that I have to prove negligence to claim from the other party. Can this really be true?
  4. I had trouble with these people and sent them a registered letter stating that as they were probably aware they had breached a number of OFT guidelines and if they continued their harassment I would take legal action against them. I heard no more because they move on to an easier target. fitzyg
  5. I sent these rogues a letter telling them they had breached many of the OFT gudelines and told them if they continued their harassment then action wouldbe taken against them. That was 3 months ago and I have heard nothging since.
  6. Further to my last posting. British Gas are going to investigate my complaint because I asked them if they were using EXTORTIONISTS to collect overdue amounts. I will post there reply in due course.I MUST STATE AGAIN THAT THE STAFF AT British Gas HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT
  7. I have had my first dealings with PDCS today when one of our tenants handed me 2 letters asking for £368.60 on behalf of British Gas.I This was the first I`d heard of any money outstanding. I rang BG who were very helpful and they confirmed there was a debt but it was only £`184.30. and I should pay PDCS . They said to ring them back if there was any problem. I contacted PDCS and asked them why the amount was double the actual debt and she immediately said they would accept £221 instead. So rang the same guy at BG who contacted their Credit Dept whilst I held on and BG took the correct payment over the phone and said they would contact PDCS to cancel further action. PDCS give the impression of being extortionists .DO NOT ACCEPT WHAT THEY SAY AS BEING CORRECT. to my surprise British Gas staff were fantastic. If you can, deal direct with the people you actually owe the money to. I shall be writing to BG stating my experience with PDCS and suggest they reconsider their arrangement with them.
