  1. Thanks to everyone. I finally got a letter saying SORRY as they looked at the machine and found that I have paid for two tickets and that covered all the time I was there. The whole process took about 2 months of letters not stop. Thanks to all. I guess that's me done in Chorlton. I will not go to that carpark ever!
  2. Hi DoughBoy, I wrote to John Leech and told them about my "invoice" , not fine, and about my "paid parking" and not "ilegal" parking, and the secretary told me that as I wasn't a constituent of Chorlton, they couldn't support me on that, which I thought was pretty bad, as that means they would allow crime committed to anyone who is not in their constituency. If you live in Chorlton, you may be so lucky! I also wrote a letter to Excel telling them > "This alleged debt remains disputed by me and I must ask you to cease and desist correspondence with me. Other than as described above, any further correspondence from you or any other party in relation to this matter may result in a complaint to the authorities under the Protection From Harassment Act 1997and misuse of DVLA records" . I sent this after the second letter. I did pay my ticket for parking, but they still acuse me of not displaying the ticket. Regards
  3. I have written to the South reporter to let them know about Excel, not something new, but more news, more noise. Here is the link in case anybody wants to write to them too. South Manchester Reporter Regards
  4. Exactly what I thought. funnily enough I have just found out that Excel have started in a little car park in the area I live, so I will contact my MP anyway to get rid of them as soon as possible.
  5. Thanks to all your posts. I wrote to John Leech the MP for Chorlton and told him about this [problem]. They know about it as a lot of people have complained. I would like to publicise it as much as I can to avoid other people to get in the same situation and to get rid of them. If anybody is a constituent of Chorlton, you could write to the local paper and tell them all about it. As I am not a contituent of Chorlton, I will not be taken into account. Regards
  6. Thanks to everyone here! Just a question: Do you know if those machines where you enter the registration hold a record of your ticket? Of course, I have thrown my ticket away after a month nearly, and I have no prove whatsoever that I paid for the ticket. I know I should not even think about it any more, but.... it plays on my mind.... Gracias
  7. Thank you for your advise. It gives me strength!
  8. Hi everyone, It looks like I am not on my own here. I have just registered here and I am writing to see if anyone knows how I can prove that I parked in Chorlton carpark,Manchester. The story goes like this. I parked there about half a month ago , paid in the machine to get a ticket and displayed it on the dashboard. It is one of those machines where you have to enter the registration, so I did all that. Today I received a letter asking me to pay £60 for not displaying the ticket, which is wrong because I did display it. They show a photo of my car entering and going out , which show my registration, but it doesn't show that I have not displayed my ticket!! I have written an email to them straight away as they say if you want to appeal you have to do it before 7 days. And that's where I am at the moment. could you tell me if those machines hold a record of the registration or cars that pay? Does anyone knows? Any help on this matter will be very helpful, I feel very distressed and worried....

  10. Hi, I have also had a "fine" sent home after I parked in Chorlton-Cum-Hardy. I parked and paid at the machine where you have to introduce your registration, so I did. I placed the ticket on the dashboard, as you would do. today I received a letter telling me that I had not displayed the ticket and I had to pay £60. In the letter there is a photo of my car entering and going out, from a top camera, which only shows the car and registration. They did not leave a note on the car window (because I would have kept the ticket) and the letter with the photo shows nothing about my ticket displayed. How can I prove this. As they said to get in touch with them inmediately, I have done by email. Can someone advice me if I can prove it, if the machine holds the registration at all? Any advice will be very, very welcome. I am distressed.....
