  1. Yeah I watched that already, but Roxburge and Graham white sound like such menaces, there seems to be lots of forums where there names pop up, with nothing good said about them, I can't understand why they are still allowed to do what they are doing. Hopefully something will come of this investigation against them. I still refuse to pay this fine. But I just really really want to know that it's not going to bite me in the a*s at some point.....
  2. Hi all, I have recently recieved my "apparent final" warning from Graham White (dodgy one), warning me of court action if I don not pay. I decided to get a little advice from a Reputable solicitor who has advised me to pay up as he does not think I have a strong argument should this go to court, and I would end up paying a hell of a lot more than the origional £80. If this is such a big [problem], and they never take anyone to court, then why havn't they been on watchdog??? and why is this still going on. I am really frustrated by it all now, I am getting married in a few months and really don't need the stress. If I ignore this letter again, which I already have really as it was sent a couple of weeks ago, what happens next??? will i get another letter sometime soon??? Any help and advice is appreciated
  3. Hi, I have also now received a letter form Roxburge saying I need to pay £161, or they will be asking Graham White to review the case for legal action. I have searched both of these names and there are forums everywhere saying the same thing, to ignore. I can't get over how many people are having this type of problem and nothing is being done to stop it.
  4. Hi all, I have now received my second letter from these guys "Final Demand Prior to Court Action". Should I now look at writing back to them stating that I will not be paying and why? Cheers
  5. Hi all, I have received my first correspondance from VCS, "Notice of Intent to Issue Court Proceedings", or pay £120 within 14 days. I am still very willing to ignore, however, if it was taken any further I am not sure what angle I would be able to fight from. Apart from the fact that they are supposed to be a member of the British Parking Association, yet they ignore the fact that it is advised that the maximum charge should be £75, B10.6 Setting parking charges for breach of contract is a matter for operators. These charges will be reviewed every April by the AOS Board. In our opinion: The standard parking charge should not exceed £75 including any discount for early payment. The maximum Parking Charge or face value of the ticket must not exceed £150. and they charge £80, would that be enough. Because other than that, I don't think I have an argument, so am not sure if I am doing the right thing. Anyway, I am guessing I am to ignore this first letter? Thanks
  6. DBC, Cheers for the quick reply. I will keep my cash card safely tucked away in my purse then. I will be back if I get any letters from them. Thanks again
  7. Hi, am new to the site, have had a read of some of the posts, and am pretty sure I know what the answer to my question will be, however I will explain anyway. I got an £80 Parking Charge Notice from Vehicle Control Services Ltd today, to be honest I have parked on the same car park loads of times, and I have saw the signs but thought no-body bothered to check as I know loads of people park and don't get tickets. You are supposed to have a car pass to park there, and I have just not got round to getting one yet. They have said I have contravened code 94 - Parked without displaying a valid ticket. And I apparently have 7 days to pay it. I am in the armed forces so don't really want to be getting myself into trouble, but don't want to pay £80 fine. I am guessing you will advise not to pay, but what is the liklehood that this may cause trouble for me??? Thanks in advance for any help and advice x
