  1. Sorry to hear they are harrassing you so much. I only joined this forum a few weeks ago so am not the best to advise you but we are in a similar situation. The loan with welcome is not mine but my partners and i felt so strongley about they way they treated him i joined here for advice. We send off a letter about telephone and doorstep harrasment over 2 weeks ago but sadly that hasnt stopped them, i would say if anything they are worse than ever! We are the end of our tether with them and their threats. Also my partners loan is 103 a month or something like that and each month they are adding on 106 capitilisation so it will never be paid off, how can that be legal???!!!
  2. PATHETIC ****** just like your colleagues! Enjoy your sad little life, work can't be very busy before you have time to sit here and write so much SHI*E!!
  3. Last tuesday Welcome recieved and signed for a harrassment letter, CCA and SAR that my partner sent. They are still calling non-stop and leaving messages for my partner and threatning to visit our home. What do we do no, as the letter is obviously not working and they are driving me round the bend! Also, my partner wants to make a payment to his account, we really can't afford it but he says he must so how should he go about this when we don't want to speak to them and don't wnat them to have new bank card details?
  4. Hi, here is a update on our situation. We recieved the CCA yesterday. We went to a friends today and scanned it and he forward it to my e-mail, but its so small we can hardly read it! Any ideas on how i can post it readable? And also how i can edit it to delete personal information? Also Welcome recieved our letters last tuesday and signed for them. Which included CCA, SAR and a harrassment letter. Yet they continue to harrass my partner by constantly phoning his mobile (£10 a time!) and leaving messages and threatning to visit him at home and charge £25 (yet again!!). Where do we stand with this? Thanks
  5. No, i never wrote to them, its a local shop and i rang and visited them several times and they never made any attempt to put things right. Even if i had sent them a letter and kept a copy for myself, i would no longer have a copy as i only keep things like copies of letters and things for 2-3 years and then get rid of them if i don't need them and as they haven't contacted me before now about payment i would have got rid. I thought they didn't want to fix their mess so weren't looking for payment!!
  6. Thanks for the replies. If they took me to court would the court not wonder why they hadn't done it earlier than 4 years after they had dn the work? Andrew, i don't want to reply to them but will keep the letter safe for if they take it further. Ashmk, would trading standards not laugh at such a thing? I have never used them before! Blitz, i never got the problems rectified they never visted again till th came to my door last week! Imagine sendig carpet fitters debt collecting! Mossycat, your rply really made me laugh and if they contact me further i will send that letter!!
  7. I'm not sure if i'm posting in the right section as i am fairly new to this forum so please feel free to move if there is a better place for this! In feb 2006 we got a carpet laid by a local shop, they never finished the job as they never put down door strips or edging that it needed. I rang several times and complained and also told them that the fitting of the carpet was a mess, it was all cut where it shouldn't be and also carpet gripper sticking through the carpet on the stairs. They ignored me and never came and fixed it so i have never paid for the carpet and ignored them like they ignored me! Last week at half past 8 in the morning i had 2 carpet fitters that work for them shouting outside my door that they were here about the outstanding bill. My other half told them to go and never answered the door. They said they would be back, but have not came so far. Today i have recieved a letter saying: Dear customer, We refer to the enclosed account which is now long overdue. Despite our repeated requests no payments have been made. WE NOW INTEND TO ARREST YOUR BANK ACCOUNT WITH EFFECT FROM 20TH MARCH. If you wish to halt the procedure please call us on ***** ******* in order that we may discuss token payments towards the ammount owing. Arrangements can bemade for you to make weekly payments to help clear this account. Your faithfully *************** I am so angry as they have made no attempt in 4 years to get payment and have never fixed or replaced the mes of a carpet they laid. The amount was originally £700 and is now £1350!!! I never signed a agreement for credit or anything. Thanks and please help.
  8. Ozzy, should my partner try and set up a payment plan with them? Of course this would have to be done in writing since we sent off the letters yesterday. Or is he best just to leave it? I think maybe i worry too much and so does my partner.
  9. Hi, i only joined the forum myself a few days so can't really advise you but i am sure you will get help from the other members. The loan from Welcome Finance is my partners and it is ruining our lives, it has came to the stage we are scared to answer the telephone or answer the door! Or even go out or in of the house as they sit outside our house for ages watching us like a bunch of stalkers!
  10. Ozzy, how many days to they have to respond to each of the letters and what happens in the case that they don't reply?. My partner has went away this morning for a couple of days and h text to tell me they have been calling him with the threat of home visit. He is scared they visit as he i not at home to protect me and the kids, and is saying should he make a payment plan with them . He made no payment last month as we simply don't have the money! With having a 3 year old it hard to 'hide' from them if they come to the door as he makes a noise and gets excited thinking its someone nice coming to visit! I have said i won't answer the door but i know if they come the will stand at the door for ages and then sit outside my house:oops: .
  11. If you have a payment plan set up i cant see thm putting you an a pre-payment meter if thats not what you want. If your not keen on paying by DD, british gas may have a payment card that you can top up every week/month and that pays your bill. I know BT do cards like this as we have one so may be worth asking or looking on their website.
  12. Today i posted off the letters to welcome finance by recorded delivery. I photocopied and kept copies for our reference. I got the PO's made out to welcome financial services and crossed, is that the right thing i've done? One thing i have learnt from this forum so far is not to throw away paperwork, i wish i had kept paperwork from credit i had in the past now to see if i could make any claims!
  13. Hi, sounds like we are in a similar position and have similar opinions of welcome finance. I never realised that they treated so many people so badly l i joined this forum the other day. The loan with welcome is actually my partners but he would just sit and take their crap so i decided, with his ok to take advice from this forum. Today we have sent of the subject acces report, the CCA and also a letter about telephone and doorstep harrasment. I actually had a welcome finance worker who came to my door last month call me a big fat B***h!! And told me to go and get a job! (i have one and am on maternity leave, not that it was her buisness!). This forum is fantastic and the people on it are so helpful.
  14. Thanks for that Scott. Its complicated when laws are different, i should have said at the start i was in Scotland! You lot are all so helpful and i'm glad i found the forum :). Thanks.
  15. Ozzy, sorry to bother you again but i was just writing the letters for welcome and in the last one about telephone harrasment and doorstep visits there isa piece on english law, i am in scotland so would the law be different here? Also do i send these letters in seperate envelopes? Also do i make the PO's out to welcome financial services? Thanks again.
