  1. It's been 4 months and still not heard a dicky bird !!
  2. The view I have taken is absolute worse case is a visit to the civil court with a judgement to pay the parking notice.....in other words no worse off and the PPC has had to go through a great deal of time and cost - and probably more cost than the value of the payment received!
  3. Not heard anything yet, but then its only been a month since getting the ticket......I'll update the thread if that changes.
  4. Thanks again one-and-all. I'll keep you up-to-date with any proceedings
  5. Thanks Buzby. I do remember that case as it made national news. This example does show that there is a risk going down the Ignore at all costs road? Are there any less "extreme" violators that have lost to a PPC in court? Hopefully you can sympathise with my concerns?
  6. Thank you Kiptower and Buzby for your advice and I plan to follow your advice to ignore the PCN and any correspondence from this CP Plus Ltd. Also appreciate the advise regarding multiple transgressions....will ensure a valid ticket is on display in future Out of interest, I did spot an appeals notice on the PCN that states "Appeals cannot be dealt with over the telephone and must be made in writing to the above address within 7 days of the date of issue". However, to clarify, I do not plan to appeal and to ignore any correspondence with CP Plus. Going back to an earlier question, is there any anecdotal evidence of anyone losing a Court Case against a PPC after receiving a PCN?
  7. No Mention at all of any Railway Byelaws on the Charge Notice. I will need to check the Display Notice Board at the Railway Car Park to confirm there is no mention of Railway Bylaws on-site. The Charge Notice appears to be a standard CP Plus Limited £80 Charge Notice ticket and states in the "INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT": "Payment must be made within 28 days of the issue of this Charge Notice, but if payment is received within 14 days a reduced charge of £45.00 will be accepted in full and final settlement. If payment is not received within 28 days the name and address of the registered keeper will be obtained from the DVLA and this will result in further action being taken" There is no mention of how to submit an appeal or challenge or any timeframe within which to submit an appeal or challenge. No ticket was displayed on this particular day and no reason for it not to be displayed. The driver took a gamble and lost.
  8. Hi, received a Parking Charge Notice for £80 (£45 if paid within 14 days) from CP Plus Parking Ltd for not displaying a valid ticket when parked in a Railway Car Park. There seems to be two trains of thought with regard to Parking Charge Notices from PPCs: 1. Ignore any correspondence with the PPC. 2. Reply to correspondence using the Template Letters. Which is the tried and tested approach? At what stage am I legally obliged to respond to any correspondence? Is there any anecdotal evidence of anyone losing a Court Case against a PPC? Many thanks in advance for any advice. Nobby
