Hi i am a new member i have made a donation to this site because i think it is important for people like me who has just had the most horrendous experience from the faccist police and guestapo DVLA. The police stopped me on wednesday did a check on me and i was insured and had mot and tax they checked at dvla as i did not have my licence with me they said i hold a provisional licence so they said that my traders motor insurance policy was invalid so as i was looking through the paperwork i found that i had a photocpy that the insurance had taken of my licence. please note this was a photocard one and had been issued in 2002/4, anyway that did no good with them so my vehicle went one way and i went the other way, after one day of going to 2 police stations to get the release notice stamped, goodness knows why i had to go to 2 police stations and have all the paperwork scrutinised and remember i had my valid traders policy which i have had confirmed again that this is valid with the insurance company. so eventually was able to pick up my vehicle and paid the nice man £150 and would like to know where this money goes, the vehicle had a large sticker stuck on my windowscreen saying no insurance, so it took me 10 minutes to get the sticker off which had i not taken off would not have been able to drive as i would not have been able to see out of the window, i am now left with a photo copy of my licence i have insurance certificates and cover notes proving that i have had insurance and my solicitor who dealt with a land deal also has a photo copy and my wife had a bump in a car on my insurance a few years ago and they paid out, i have also got my first ever fixed penalty ticket which i have found and must have kept for whatever reason which says full licence and all the extra groups that says its a full licence so now i need to ask swansea for all information they have held on me and i am going to fight them all the way so if anybody can help me or knows of a solicitor that can help then please contact me on this forum or email me in the mean time i will leave you with this thouht of what to do oviously it is £150 every time they stop me so i am going to buy a tractor with the tax class of agriculture and find a big trailer to go on the back and i am legal to do this while i have this ongoing argument but please any help would be appreciated i cannot believe how many people are going through or have been through this kind of thing please let me know rooftop demonstrations and sufferjets i think is the only way to be heard in this system.
