    Can I put a Legal Charge against a property that I have joint ownership to? I purchased a property with my ex-partner. We both put an equal deposit down. Property prices have since plummeted. The ex-partner is wishing to purchase the property from me. However, I shall now be making a loss. Can I put a legal charge against my initial deposit, so when he sells the property I can re-claim my deposit?
