I'm sure people high up will be taking this alot more serious now that it has bomb shelled in the Sun Paper, yet we need it in more, i just contacted the Daily mail, lets hope theres a shead of light for us unfortunate ones!

Insiders claimed Advent and Access2Trade, both part of Anglo Capital Limited, were accepting cash for courses just TEN days ago.

A Facebook group "Advent training scammed us - we want our money back" was launched yesterday.

i am in Manchester and Took out a CDL for £4750 for a MCSE course.. which went up to 4950. Now i feel i have my rites to not have to pay anything due to the MCSE course i cannot do.

Spoke to a woman called Angela from CDL department, she said in the agreement where you signed the contract it says "i am liable to pay even if the institute cannot provide further training" or something like that she said. which i find extremely unfair, it's a Career Development Loan, not a LOAN, you supposed to get a CAREER at end of it, thats the whole point!

i saw robin furness as well and promised the world.. would love to sue his arse yet i know it wouldnt get us newhere as he's just a sales man doing his job, selling himself to the company, getting you to put your cash you dont have into the business!

ok i have a point people u cant get a full refund, cos in a way u have had some training and have taken some exams so u have something out of it, i have been doin it for a yeah and taken exams so im happy to carry on and finish and i would of already spent some money of my loan

Also on a more serious note, the only company you really want your training switched to is Computeach, they now stand alone as Barclays did exactly the same to them last year, but as they had been around for a much longer time where able to weather the storm.

If Barclays changed your training provider please also check the following and if they are not registered with these companies they are not the equivelant:

Microsoft Gold Partner

CompTIA Learning Alliance Partner

Institute of IT Training Gold Standard Accredited Training Provider

Authorised Pearson View Test Centre

REC Member

Advent were at this level, therefore your new training provider should have to be too otherwise you should be able to say its not the same as the contract and you want your money back!

Dont forget these things to:

You had a no fail guarantee on your exams.

A careers team to assist you into work.

Free Phone Line.

Min 2 x training days per module.

All course work was from that govening body, for instance Microsoft. It was not skills train dare I say that provided people with Course work 2 years out of date and we ahd just introduced Microsoft Server 2008 and Windows 7 to the Certified Professional Programme.

Your new training provider must offer you these things!

We just need to be heard out, most of the high up people nowadays believe it or not, look on Youtube and Facebook and Myspace as they are the multimillion websites which do make a difference, life changing matters even! I Think there is a massive difference in the regulations of a career development loan.. they obviously covered there arse for a CDL as some woman i spoke to on the phone about my loan said that i cannot do nothing what so ever but pay it, so i was getting all ****ed off saying well due to section 75, i am not liable to pay for this as it's now void, and she says if you read the contact you will see you signed under the fine print

"i will continue to pay my career development loan, even if the institute fail to provide further training"

Just be lucky if you didnt get a CDL mate.

your good to go then, as they are partners so you'd probly be insured somehow, CDL with barclays, diff story altogether.... in there contract, you sign you are liable if anything goes wrong... SOOOOOO i mite just go bankrupt and **** them over and start life again in 5 yrs time.

you all maybe okay, career development loan, i dont know much about but im sure it has some insurence in it, i mean it's a CAREER LOAN, so you obviously paying to get a career why pay when you got no career, thats just a LOAN then.. hmmm i spoke to 3 people from barclays, both arseholes What to do, what to do...... i hate waiting.

I don't see anything like that in my contract. I only see that I signed The Direct Debit Guarantee agreement.

my name and number, they said they dont know if i'd be in the writing as im from manchester which is not in the midlands what so ever.

That can't be posible, how I'm paying something I'm not using, Ok Barclays, give me my 6K back and I will pay you then, No, no, no, If I have to go to Court to kick A** I will do, anyway I haven't see this in the contract I Have, Anyway, the woman told something different to me so, I will se what happen in couple of days

spoken to barclays just now for my Career Development loan,

she says in the bottom of that paragraph in any of the contracts with barclays, they are stated you signed in the dotted line that you are liable to pay every penny for this course even if the course FAILS to carry on.
