  1. Hi, Just to let you know, I dont know how Ive manged to do it with G24, but for some strange reason, after I told them to more or less "get lost", they sent me a letter to say the were waivering the charges and no further action would be taken. Just when I was putting my fists up lol .. good luck everyone. Thanks for all your assurancies, it just goes to show, you can win, just ignore or tell them to get lost.
  2. Hi there, well theyre working pretty slow on you. We got "hooked" on the 23 December, 30 December first letter, fastly followed by 2 more .. they must need more money after the Xmas period. I guess they all work in their own sweet way. Keep smiling.
  3. Agree with you there letshelp, they want to play the heavy mob!! If we dont 'play' scaredy cats back, they throw the dummy out the pram and try some other tactic!!
  4. Sorry it me again. NewSHAD, in logging her correspondence with the landlady, is there a time span she should give her to rectifiy the faults?
  5. Not sure how to start a new thread, but thank you NewSAHD for you advice and information, it is very helpful and informative. I will pass this on to my friends daughter. The problem with the central heating: apparently this has been going on since she moved in, in August last year. The radiators are failing to heat up completely. The landlady did send someone out (a cowboy we think), who said, a new boiler was needed, also there is a constant smell of gas (which she was informed was normal ?? - I have central heating and have never noticed a constant smell of gas, and if I did .. I would be worried there was a leak somewhere!! I will advice the young lady in question, and get her to start putting her requests in writing. Many thanks again
  6. Awww Jon Cris .. dont tell me Im a born again virgin .. I hope they treat me gently lol On a serious note .. not sure whether youve read my tale of woe on here, but G24 are the **** that are trying to bleed money from me. Anyway, long story, but the reason we overstayed on the car park was through negligence on behalf of the company with the car park .. they failed to clear snow and ice .. and my partner was injured. Ive read the legal stuff .. they have a duty of care .. even on private land .. should we counter their claim .. and sue them for injuries incurred lol:-| ????
  7. Hi there, this is a question for my friends daughter. She has in the past 6 months started to rent a house, and found that there is a fault with the central heating. She has informed the landlady, who has supplied her with two heaters to heat the whole house. Does anyone know if landlands/ladies have a legal duty to ensure there is adequate heating in a house, which is also serviced and maintained?? I would appreciate a response.
  8. Well here I go again folks. It's not taken G24 long to contact us again (less than a week). The have suggested I contact either the DVLA or ICO to complain about our personal details being released to them .. what for .. We still are not going to pay. Also a final notice will be sent within 28 days of this letter .. bless em Third letter .. are we doing well ??
  9. Thanks Al27, Ive just posted a letter to Sports Direct. Watch this space, thank you very much
  10. Hi Everyone, and can I say I am so pleased to have found this site. I must admit though, I have done something stupid and am really annoyed with myself for doing so. My partner and I parked outside of Sports Direct Store in St Helens, just before Christmas, to call into the store to do some last minute shopping (my partner) and me to call at our bank (around the corner). This took 30 minutes. As we are all aware, we've had some bad snowfalls over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, on walking back to the car on this particular day, my partner slipped on some uncleared snow and ice, and suffered several injuries. We had to call friends up to come and pick us up and remove the car (which took some time), because he was badly shaken. We were also due to go on holiday that day, but had to cancel. I also informed Sports Direct in writing of the accident the day after. As you can imagine, we had a dreadful Christmas and low and behold, as a New Years greeting, we had a Parking Charge from G24 for £95, with a right to appeal!! I was absolutely fuming. Here goes .. I confess to responding to their stupid letter, and asked them to consider the accident my partner had suffered as a consequence of parking on a uncleared car park. You can guess the reply .. it went on the lines of "tough .. we still want your money"!! After days of searching around on the web, I came across this site. I am going to ignore these people, although it will frustrate me in doing so. Im not that kind of person who sits back and says nothing .. well I am a woman lol. Needless to say, I am so happy to have found this site and will keep you all posted.
