  1. The cars were all in the cul de sac. The ford focus got a ticket in the position shown on street view. Any cones would of been obvious as the cars were all parked tight to the bushes. Even if there were cones they would of been placed after the cars put there with them half in the bush and resting on the paint work - this wasn't the case. The permits which were called resident visitor passes were photocopies on red card and a 12 year old could of copied them if they wanted too. Also as you say, no signage was displayed with the cones which could of been roadwork cones for all we knew. Thanks for your help
  2. There was cones all down the lane but none in the cul de sac part. They ticketed the focus and cars parked behind 01 parked in a restricted restricted street during prescribed hours - that's the code apparently. Chris
  3. I'm waiting to hear back from my girlfriend but when her mum rang up they said it was marked down as bring parked on double yellows
  4. I'll find out for you but I think the same code as parking on double yellows.
  5. Over the weekend there was an event at 'The Bowl' MK so tempory parking restricions were in force in the vincinity. This included most streets on any housing estates nearby. For residents they handed out passes to be displayed in windowscreens if parked on the road. Well this event happened to clash with a weekend house party my girlfriend was having. There was 3 extra cars parked outside her house but each one was displaying a pass. Baring in mind the event was played twice; saturday 14:00 - 22:00 and sunday 14:00 - 22:00. The council ticketed all the guests cars (and my girlfriends mother who was away) Sunday 10am even though they had all been parked there since Friday. I managed to get away without one as I heard their radio's and confronted them before they had issued mine. They told me that people had been selling the passes so they were ticketing everyone on the road and we would have to appeal. They also said this certain road (not printed on the tickets or associated paperwork included) that there are extra restrictions and pass or not you cant park there. Whats the best way to approach this and is there any get back for un-fair hassle/ distress? Chris
  6. Hi Caggers. I'm just posting to ask a few questions about my girlfriends student house. For example: One of the 4 tenants will ring the land lady regarding a problem but not tell everybody else. The land lady will then come round and sort the issue but knock on the other peoples doors to spot check. She will also look round the house. Is she required to give all tenants notice for this? Is this not invasion of privacy? The other issue is problems with black mould in my girlfriends room. She reported this and the next day the 'handman' had let himself in and was drilling holes in the plaster to help it dry out. Any advice please? Chris
  7. You are only required to inform them you are recording if you plan to use it as evidence in court. Chris
  8. Well the paper work has gone to my credit card address so hopefully they sort it.
  9. Is the 60 days for visa from when I rang the bank as I'll just be in the time frame? Can I email you my flight receipts? I stuck on my course of action - I seem to be bouncing off where to get the money back from. Chris
  10. Hi Buzby. I can't seem to find the right part to copy from: http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=1080&pagetype=70 Reading through it all there seems to be no section that specificly says 'flights only are not covered'. It also quotes flights only will be covered if your flight company is ATOL protected and you had confirmation of this. I paid an extra £1.75pp for 'Total Finantial Protection' what ever this is? Very confused, chris
  11. Just received an email: Should I reply putting them right and telling them how I shall be proceding or just wait on the bank? Posted my chargeback paper work today. Chris
  12. Just filling out my forms to the bank... Is the merchant 'On the beach'? Do I include a copy of the email I sent OTB requesting a refund? I can pen in that I have had no reply - near enough a refusal? Chris
  13. The lady on the phone put me on hold and asked an advisor who was "sorting all these GoldTrail problems out, so he should know!" lol. I will get this off to nationwide and let you know of the outcome. You have been a great help Buzby. Chris
  14. Just off the phone to 'OTB' and this is what they say. Flights only through them is protected via ATOL. If I try to go through my credit card and they pull the money back from OTB, OTB will charge me or pass the bill on to me - or something along those lines... They were reluctant to give me a confirmation of no refund as she told me to go through ATOL. What happens now? Chris
  15. Thanks again. Do I wait on replying to the bank? Currently at the 2 week limit by the banks dated letter although I have only had it for 1 week. On the beach has also removed my account so no longer able to log in. Shall I ring them? Chris
  16. bit concerned about this: Where customers use a credit card to buy airline or other travel tickets from a travel agent, they cannot normally claim against the travel agent if the airline delays or cancels the flight. This is because the travel agent contracted to supply the ticket, not the flight. So the customer would not have a claim under section 75 either.
  17. No reply from them via email yet? Any suggestions? Chris
  18. Thanks once again. I will keep you updated. Chris
  19. Something along the lines of: Onthebeach Refrence: xxx I am requesting a full refund for flights I booked on (date) due to the liquidation of Gold Trail. Any other info needed? Chris
  20. Thanks again Buzby. Would I need this refusal in writing? My only concern is the letter from nationwide needs returning within 2 weeks. What do I do if they agree minus administration fees ect? Just checked the actual transaction and it was made on the 30th of May which is about 8 weeks ago. The payment was also taken in 2 transactions of £361 and £51. Thanks Chris
  21. £400 - flights to Turkey and back for me and my girlfriend. Nationwide credit card (visa). Paid through onthebeach so I am guessing they act as the 'middle man' Thanks for your previous replies. Chris
  22. Hi everybody at CAG. I booked flights (for September) a month/ 6 weeks ago through on the beach. Checked them several days ago and was unsure who the flights were with. After ringing them they confirmed Gold trial. Now I understand flights only may not be ATOL protected so have rang my credit card company which is Nationwide. I now have a form to fill in and need to provide evidence of sale (receipt) and a liquidation document. I have looked on GT's website and there are several PDF's but I am not sure which one to use?! Should I include a covering letter to outline other details of the sale? Thanks for your time, Chris MODS: This has also been posted in another section. Please remove if this breaks CAG rules.
  23. Anybody? Sorry I must add that flights were for mid September. Chris
