  1. Ignore, ignore, ignore and this is coming from the voice of recent experience!
  2. thank you all very much for the information. I'm going to keep all letters they send on file but not replying and just ignore!
  3. Thank you for your advice. We're going to our nearest CAB office on Monday and see if there is anything they can do or advise.
  4. Hi, my partner parked in a Sainsburys carpark in Gosforth on 8th September 2009 which is 'manned' by Excel. He did pay for a ticket but unfortunatly it blew out of the car when he shut the door (we hadn't realised until we got back to the car and saw the PCN for £40). We do still have the back of the P&D ticket which is the part you can redeem if you shop in Sainsburys. We spoke to the parking attendant and explained what had happened and he told us to appeal the ticket and give us the information to do so. Unfortuantly I hadn't stumbled across this website in time so stupidly we contacted Excel who told us to send an email to appeal (I still have all emails sent (and automatic responses received). We got the usual standard letter back...we acknowledge receipt of your challange... blah blah blah. So we asked if we could pay in installments (neither of us are working at the moment) we received a letter off them telling us they needed proof of our financial difficulties so we sent a proof of benefits (very very stupid I know now!) They accepted that and set up an installment plan for £60...we couldnt understand this as the area was a £40 area. Somewhere in amongst this we have had 2 final notices and have paid £40 to them. They asked for an extra £20 and are now demanding £80 (we are refusing to pay). We have rang around and took pictures of the terms and conditions board which prove the area is a £40 area. Sorry if its all confusing (i've confused myself a little bit) they has been so much backwards and forwards we don't know where we're at. I would really appreciate some advice on what we should do next.
