Hi, I am after some help regarding claiming some money back from Ashbourne Membership Management, that was paid out of my account after I was informed by the club that my account had been frozen. I paid 2 months worth of fees before I contacted the bank and was told I had to cancel the payments as it was a standing order, which I promptly did with my internet banking. The club that I was at told me that the account had been frozen and that no more money would be charged from my account. Each time I was charged the monthly £75 fee I was also charged extra fees by my bank account for going beyond my overdraft limit. I did not use the club in the 2 months extra that I have been charged for and they have a record of this which they have past along to AMM. I sent a letter to AMM at the end of last week 4.12.09 and it was received by them on the 7.12.09. However I did not hear from them and contacted them by phone, I have done this twice now and I am awaiting a return call. What are my chances of getting the money back, do I have any legal standing in this situation as I was told by the club that no more funds would be taken from my account. AMM told me that because they have paid the money to the club, that it is out of their hands and the club says that they do not deal with the membership payment problems as it is AMM's responsibility.
