aug 04 i paid directly from my bank account £175.93p i am pretty sure that was what was left of the credit payments and thats why i paid it in full i was only paying £25 per month previously I think you are right about the end date i just dont want no bother turning up at my care off address

it started of with a random phone call saying a company wanted my new address, i wouldnt give them it because she wouldnt say what company then she said a solicitors name and then go debt. i said i will contact godebt and see what the score is then put phone down. i contacted go debt and they said it was for £164.64p but the person working on my case was on leave so couldnt get me any more details. i got another phone call of one of the fellas mentioned on this site a few days later saying we could settle for £50 less if straight away i believe the debt is for a stereo i bought back in 2003 ish i had made monthly payments of £25 upto 2004 then a payment of £175(this i believe to be the final payment). I got some advice of the national debt helpline and this site on the back off that i asked for all payments/relative companies/balances/dates/copies of original contract etc. i currently dont have an address as ive said previously i work away and stay in a bnb so i set up a email account just for them told him i would email him got his email and sent an email saying about contact only being in email form and asking for the above documentation. all this happened a couple of weeks before xmas and now im unsure of what to do ive had no reply. I am concerned as to what there next action willl be they managed to find my phone number after 5 years and about 5 changes i wasn't running i still had the same job until april and i moved house quite alot as i was in the forces. i dont want any come back to the people who are getting my mail for me at my care of address

I am a bit unsure of what to do now I have had no reply of godebt with reference me asking them for all the original paperwork i still dont have an address living in b and bs at the moment as im working away and havent sorted the move out (still). Will they be sending stuff to my old address if so how does that affect me as i cant get there. i dont want to just forget about it till they contact me again also i have a care of address with my bank will they be able to get that address i dont want any hassle going to that address as they are doing me a favour. what should i do now

hi black1 i sent an e-mail asking for everything you said they are saying i owe 164 pound i also told them to only contact me through email (i am in the middle of moving house at the moment was supposed to happen on friday but the house wasnt at the standard they said it would be. Theoretically im homeless luckily i work away lol) i paid the last instalment through the my bank i rang the company said how much do i owe and paid it in full. I think what the debt is for is because i paid off the stereo early the payment protection or possibly insurance was for 3 years (i cant even remmember getting PPI/insurance) i was in a very secure job or whatever this is the only thing i can posssibly think off. however like i said i emailed him on monday asking for the contract and payment details and any associated companies dates and amounts for payments and as many people have said on here he offered me early settlement with 116 pound but he hasnt returned my email so i am just waiting at the moment cheers black1

hi black cheers for that i have just had another phone call this time from justin fowler they said the last payment was made in august 04 the previous payments were of 15 pound odd per month and that final payment was for 175 pound this is were i believe i have paid the debt. i am gonna email him now for a copy of the original contract the company that had the contract is there anything else i should do thanks in advance Danny

hi all i got a phone call today asking to update my address from a 10 year old one (i immediatly became suspicious at this point as they hadn't even told me who they were) they said they were representing go debt i said what do you want my address for they said they dont know its for go debt. I responded with a NO if they want my address i want to know why she said ok then hung up (more suspicion). I then rang GO DEBT and told them my name they said i have a debt for £164 but the person who was dealing with my debt was on leave (quite apt) so they couldnt tell me what it was for or from when (even more suspicion). having looked up this company and coming across this thread and many others similar i am now even more suspicious. Has anyone any advice for me on what to do next or any preparations for there probable next move I dont believe i owe this money and the fact that it is from an address i lived in 10 years ago is strange any advice would be gratefully appreciated Thanks Danny
