this one is a new one for me very interesting as it didn't work like that at the store i was with, my pay day in day was a Saturday if i missed that day i was charged for the Saturday Sunday and Monday if i didnt ring in by 9am on the Monday, i was charged for each agreement for each day i was late, and of course had to pay that week too. must look into this one thanks for that, also if you can help my friend has just started a on line petition against bright house we need 500 signatures so we can take it to downing street as im not computer wise i dont know how to post the link, but it is on my facebook im not sure if i can post my email address here so if anyone wants to sign it please private message me and i will give it to you so you can sign it.. thanks

makes me so angry.. call the store manager who you made the agreement with and ask why this is going on. and get a written agreement from him stating that you have agreed to make the payments fortnightly. keep a diary of all calls they make to you, as this is harassment, nobody can come into your home and take anything without a court order and that takes months to get, and you will be informed of it before it happens, it then gives you a chance to go before the courts who are far more understanding that these people. if you have paid more than 1/3rd of the goods they cant remove them. sometimes they come round waving a piece of paper saying its a court order. which in fact its not. if they do ask to see it shut the door on them and ring the courts to check if its legal. if its not call the police, call the police if they put one foot in door without you letting them in. if your finding hard to keep on top of the payments, i would ether return the goods. to them or if you have paid more than 1/3rd make them a offer of what you can afford to pay each week do it in writing, if they refuse your offer, then tell them to start debt recovery that way all interest stops and the court will deal with it, but be warned they will try to bully harass you keep a diary, off it all and dont give them access to your home. or your goods, and if they force entry call the police.

what i did was i rang my bank home insurance department, told them i had goods on hp and they needed to be covered by my home insurance, your insurance will find a policy that covers that for you.im with the halifax and i have new for old cover and repair or replace, it cost me £32 a month. which was far better than BH OSC and DLC covers, put it another way i was paying them £140 a week with all the cover i had taken out with them. after i had it removed my payments dropped to £70 a week so half of what i was paying for was not coming off my goods but it was going to them i cover. my pay day to them was on a a saturday. so on the saturday i paid them as normal. and handed them a letter telling them i no longer wanted there OSC or DLC and to remove it from my account before my next payment is due. i also provided proof of insurance. now as you can imagine they are going to argue with you because they are losing money. if they get arsey in the shop like they did with me ring head office and complain. and tell them remove it before your next payment date. after a few threats like ohh you have to return some things DONT!! you are not breaking any agreement your simply removing a OPTIONAL charge from your account, again report them to head office.dont give in dont take the threats. you will then have to go in and re do all your agreements so that the OSC and DLC have been removed you will normally have to do this on the day you are due to pay. please ask for copy of everything you have signed so you can check them at home. in your case i would ring head office and try to get the money back that you have paid if you have allready told them to remove them and they haven't. please let me know how you get on DONT take there threats go in strong and get it removed.

Hi everyone my name is katie and i am new on here. please forgive any mistakes i make.. firstly i want to address some problems that i have read regarding bright house/perfect homes but i cant seem to find the main posts for them. so i started a new one. i have been with with bright house for 4 years and with all my heart i wish i had run the other way, so if your thinking about getting stuff from there please dont. they are bully's. they dont follow the law and they rip you off. i have been fighting with them for months now, finally im free from them. if you find yourself in trouble with them please post a reply i will help you as best i can with your question, having been on the receiving end of there threats, im getting much better at dealing with them. firstly dont panic, there is help out there citizens advice helped me a lot, and if i can pass on something that might help you i will gladly do so.
