  1. To be honest Lamma, i've not been in a letter chain so learning fast - thanks for the support though. :)
  2. Howdo all, Just another update - latest 'Notice of Intended Legal Action' fell through the door with a thud - new price apparently is £348.37 (initial fine - £141.12 plus issuing claim - £207.25) from Mr White and Co (on behalf of Roxburghe).:-x:-x Think the give away is in 'INTENDED', followed up with 'INTENDED LITIGATION' and to slam home the threat reference to the fact that you could face serious credit difficulties for upto 6 years. Even better, ...if you don't adhere to the Judgement Order, bailiiffs will be instructed to seize goods from your address for sale at Public Auction. All this and only 7 days to reply, unbelievable. Hope you're all still around - may need to hold some hands to get through this - looks like it could be a bumpy ride. :-o:-o
  3. Is that because you are 'courtward' bound? Also why do they persevere with all this invoicing, debt collectors and solicitors if the end result is no payment?
  4. So basically - sit tight and wait for more threats, i can do that:rolleyes: When does this all end - as anyone ever had them cease bullying for what is effectively extortionate charges? cheers for all the responses, makes feel a whole lot stronger
  5. Howdo all!!! Just thought i'd update you on the latest proceedings from Excel and hopefully you can advise me on further actions. I have now been introduced to the debt collectors - Roxburghe - who have been instructed to reclaim an outstanding parking charge . Apparently i have 7 days to respond before they go running to a solicitors, Graham White, before legal action is undertaken. Does anyone have any knowledge of either of the above and if so how should i proceed, the other half is getting slightly worried now that their will be a knock at the door and two goons trying to claim for monies owed. Any advice would again be greatly appreciated.:-x:-x:-x
  6. Penfield, Its a tough one, but if you feel that £60 is a reasonable amount for the 25mins you ran over then pay for it, otherwise if you feel like the rest of us then just ignore the letter and make them work for their money. It wouldn't have mattered even if you where stood right behind the guy dishing out the ticket at the time.
  7. Howdo, just thought i'd update you on the latest shenanigans from Excel - i now have received the dreaded FINAL DEMAND NOTICE that most people on this thread seem to have encountered. Time to put on the helmet and expect the brute force of Excel coming knocking at my door - seems a lot of hassle for a measly £100.00:p. But will heed the advice of the wise old sages on this thread and sit tight. Will keep you posted:) PS: Did anyone see that news article last week regarding excessive parking charges?
  8. Oh and big bold scary type, aaaarrggghh!!!:-x:-x
  9. Howdo everyone, hope it was a good christmas!! Just to update you on my saga with Excel - today received a fancy full colour (lots of red and yellow), double-sided A4 piece of paper threatening me with 'court proceedings' or pay £100. It even breaksdown what the costs would be for a solicitor and court for me, so nice of them. They even have a code for this offence 94 and then a list of various ways to pay on the reverse - web, tel, post. Even better at the end they would like me to inform them of who was driving the vehicle, why don't they know!!! Anyway in-line with my New Year's resolution they can go whistle. Will keep you informed of the next episode of 'Return of the Vampires'.
  10. Would you believe it - i'm another target for Excel Parking Service Ltd (EPS). Having pulled up at an EPS carpark in Stockport, to use the free 30mins, lo and behold, a ticket on my side window. Follow this sequence of events:- 4.08pm - park car - go shopping 4.12pm - time seen by warden 4.23pm - buy goods and return to car - to find PCN 4.26pm - time recorded on PCN as issued The warden/duffer couldn't even wait 30mins before sticking it to me - 14mins. When i confronted him, he said that was the time i finished processing the document. I said check your watch, it was still 4.25pm. Work that one out, are you Dr Who in disguise and can bend time? To which his response was 'its in the system and you'll have to pay!' Needless to say, after a few chosen expletives were thrown across the car park - i sought help. And can i say, i am so devoted to this site already after finding similar stories from people being shafted by a blatant set of sharks. £60.00 for a £2.50 ticket? Has thsi country lost the plot? Anyway thanks for the advice - i intend to sit tight and watch the letters stack-up. will keep you posted if anything arises. cheers for keeping my sane. Ecky
