  1. Thanks for the help with the faulty ARGOS 'office' chair. After reminding them of their obligations under the Sales of Goods Act 1979 (Ammended) they refunded the value of the chair and I have purchased a different model. We'll see how long that lasts under low domestic use!
  2. On 19-05-08 I purchased an office chair from Argos at £74.99 for private home use. At first I was very pleased with it. However, on 25th October 2009 One of the 'legs' holding one of the five castors cracked, sufficiently to make the chair unsafe and unuseable. I contacted Argos but they say as I have had it more than one year they will not replace it. They offered to contact the manufacturer but tell me that as it was made in Hong Kong they cannot do so. They obviously have no intention of helping me, even though the chair is still in the Argos catalogue at an increased price. Do I have any redress or do I just lose £75 and put it down to experience. Can anyone offer advice, please??
