i think i will use snail mail .. thanks for that.. when i recived my first letter i wrote what happend on mt facebook page to warn other people and a freind said she had recived the same letter so i told her not to ring them and she hasnt heard anything since .. only reason i did was cos my wife called when i was at work ... but i had already read most of the posts about them so knew how they operate. im so glad i found this site ..

have you looked at the llast letter they sent ?? its it a usual template one or something diffrent??

right then i havent contacted ruthbridge but i recived another letter saying i owe thousands of pounds from a debt with hbos .. i have contacted hbos who i do have a savings account with who know nothing of this and who will be instructing thier fraud team to investigate this wehn i fax them the letters concerened. They are not impressed to put it lightley!! Also the debt is linked to cabot who i contacted and when they wanted me to confirm my adress linked to the debt it was tottally a differnt adress and one i havent lived at( surely proving they have linked me to someone eles debt??) but i didnt catch the adress when i asked tfor the adress they had they couldnt give it me for dpa reasons.. so i rung back later and wrote it down and told them thanks for that you wouldnt give it me 5 mins ago I am thinking of requesting data they hold on me as they will have to provide it and i can then show the adress has nothing to do with me so i now have copies of the letters scanned and printed and they are going to the oft and a few others and i am not going to let up mark my words .. here are the letters they sent me so have a look at the last one and tell me if this one of thier standerd letters or new ones.. thanks Blanked Out.pdf

Well as you guessed im new to the site so im sorry if i have posted in the wrong place. I recived a letter from ruthbridge limited a few days ago which was just addressed to "the ocupier" i though it looked dogy to start with so didnt think much off it, when i went to work my wife called the company on the 0800 number to see what was happening but she refused to give them details for security .. so a few days later i we recived another letter but this time had my full name ect on it saying we note that you failed to respond to our mail directed toun you YOU HAVE BEEN TRACED AS LIVING AT THE ADREES ABOVE . PLEASE CONTACT OUR LEGAL DEPT IMIDIATLEY ON 02087343594 if you hav not contacted us in 5 days a local ageny may call between mon - fri 7-9 sat 7-5:30 JASON EVANS now i have read all the posts about this subject so know all bout sending the letter with the £1 postal order request info held but i was thinking if this company is just a bully boy cowboy outfit with no real powers why even send the £1? surley if thye cant back up their threats then all those £1 are going to add up so i dont thin k i will even do that .. so even though my wif has called them am i right in thinking just to ignore all em all togheter???? note* i did have a small debt of £250 but that was paid of about 5 years ago thanx
