I found out late last year that my Egg credit card debt had been taken over by Apex Credit Management. I requested a copy of my Credit Agreement which has finally arrived today. What do I do next?

Hi, I sent off for my CCA and Apex received it on 16/11/09. Today I received the attached letter from them. Is it worth calling them and offering a crazy settlement figure (maybe £1000 on a £5000 debt) or should I wait to hear from them (or the two weeks to pass)? Thanks

My debt has just been bought by Apex Management. Dealing with them now. Just looking over my original CCA from Egg in 1999. 3. Limit We will tell you from time to time the Approved Limit we have set and, if different, the Individual Limit which you have chosen for the Account. Reading posts on here I am not sure if this is OK! If not what do I do next? Please help

I found out yesterday that my debt with Egg had been sold to Apex Credit Management. Not before I received a txt from Apex telling me to call them! I called Apex today and was asked several times how much I wanted to pay even though they admitted I had a standing agreement with Egg to pay so much a month. About a month ago, I offered Egg just under half of the outstanding amount as a full and final payment. They refused but must already have known they were about to sell the debt (almost certainly for less than I offered £2000 on a £5000 debt). How do I proceed now? Apex said that because this was a new account to them, they wouldn't have a settlement figure yet. I suppose they need time to figure out how much they can screw out of me! Thanks
