  1. The letter refers to what was assumed a fine, as a "Private Parking Ticket". It also says "The amount of the Private Parking Ticket is £100" - to me the wording of this sound very weak, like you say, they haven't refereed to it as a "fine", therefore surely that means it is not enforced?
  2. Thanks all for your responses! I'm slightly reluctant to just ignore them, as the letter says that if I pay within 14 days of receiving the letter, the fine will be reduced by 50%, ie - a £50 charge instead of £100. Do you suggest that I request to see the photographic evidence? I have called them and request the exact time I entered and exited the car park. From what I am told, I was in the car park for 4rhs 20mins (all afternoon), which seems quite unlikely I was parked there for that long as it is simply just a retail park. Thanks again,
  3. Hi there, I received a letter today via the post stating that I'd overstayed the permitted 2 hours parking allowed withing the OPC car park! I am very doubtful that I visited this car park on the particular day stated in the letter, but they say they have photographic evidence. At the bottom of the letter it states "Failing to attend the request above... the ticket will be processed through our legal process in accordance with our terms and conditions which successful could result in further charges" - suggesting that if unsucessful charges will not be persued? How should I handle this fine? Do I leave it, or request to see the photographic evidence? I'm unsure as to whether this is a genuine letter as I have found from reading similar threads to this, that some ticketing company's are a con and have no legal substance to back them. Many thanks!
