  1. Thanks for the replies, it looks like she is stuck with it! Went to Citizens Advice today and they said that once she had signed a lease for 6 months that was that. Only way out now is to try and prove the place is an unfit residence!
  2. Hi, looking for some guidance please regarding this problem. My daughter took out a 6 month tenancy in January this year, at the end of the six months she was not offered a new agreement and this continued for four months. She recently signed another 6 month agreement which will take her through to April next year but she now has the chance of much better accomodation for the same rent. Should the new agreement not have started in July after the old one finished which would have taken her tenancy up to December this year? I would happily pay November and Decembers rent in advance so that she could moved out now. The landlord says she has to stay until April, but what about the 4 months when she didn't have an agreement. Sorry if this is long winded and confusing but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
