  1. Ok cheers, I just wanted to see what my options were. Probably best to write to 3 as you suggested paying in full and apologise explaining we weren't aware of outstanding monies and hope for the best then! Thanks
  2. Is there any mileage in us not agreeing the money is owed and trying to tackle it that way? Or would the best option be to write to 3 or should it be the debt collection agency? And offer to the pay the amount in full asking if possible they could remove the default as a gesture of goodwill? Thanks again Steve
  3. Hi thanks for the quick reply Scott. She stopped using the phone when the contract ran out in 2005 and never paid her last two final bills. Leaving us 5 years later struggling to get a mortgage! Any advice would be appreciated.
  4. Hi I am new to this so you'll have to forgive any incorrect etiquette! My partner has a default on her credit file from 2005 with Hutchison 3G or Three the mobile phone company. Which is now stopping us getting a mortgage, the default is only for £145 and the only one on her file, we wouldn’t mind paying it off if needed, its the default from her credit file we wish to remove. We have sent the standard default removal letter that other people have posted on here and have received the following reply Your Account query Thanks for contacting us about credit file amendment As we haven’t received payment from you for your last 2 bills, we’ve had to pass your account to the debt collection agency, HFO Services Ltd. They’ll be getting in touch with you soon to talk about settling the outstanding balance. If you’ve got any questions or want to make a payment, please contact then 0845 600 6128. Or you can write to them at:- HFO Services Ltd PO Box342Lavender park Road West Byfleet Surrey – KT14 6YX Thanks in advance for any advice.
