  1. Many thanks for all your help. I still cant get over the fact I am guilty as charged with o intention to do so.

There were facillities to pay - My error I did try to pay at other end - see previous mailing They say sufficient evidence (they cant have - because I didnt) trying to exit following someone I went to my normal exit point and approached two members of staff located near the disabled exit barrier. The barrier shut and I then located a kiosk adjacent where a member of staff was dealing with another customer at this time. This is a final warning ? Operational - ££ Administration ££ Prosecutor ££ Rail fees - £4.20p Total = £179.20

Background Both my Fiancée and I live in the .............area and commute daily to our place of work, my fiancée works for an estate agency in ------------- and I in ----------- Due to the nature of my partner’s occupation she is often required to visit properties before attending her office base. She picks me up daily and gives me a lift to the best location to suit us both. Often this is various statiosn That said my return destination is always 99% .......... where her office is based for the return journey. Allegation On the day in question I was dropped off by fiancée at ........... and upon arrival a train was already at the platform. I rushed and was lucky enough to board. Unfortunately and in hindsight foolish of me I did not pursue or see a conductor on board to request a ticket. Upon arrival at ................. I went to my normal exit point and approached two members of staff located near the disabled exit barrier. The barrier shut and I then located a kiosk adjacent where a member of staff was dealing with another customer at this time. I patiently waited until my time and requested to purchase a return ticket to and from my point of access at ......... The member of staff informed me that this was a penalty fare station and I would be required to give further details and probably be subject to a £20 fine. I requested if I may appeal and was assured that I may. After considerable time supplying information to your member of staff duly recorded all seemed to be progressing towards a mutual understanding of the allegation. She then used a phone to verify my details ……….It was at this point (circa 15 minutes later) another member of staff swooped and said something to her. The lady taking my details said “its all ok he has been quite honest and patient – what’s the problem?” This member of staff in my opinion was belligerent, arrogant and accused me of trying to “dodge my fair” I am not sure of all the things I was accused of due to my surprise and disbelief. I only wished it had been recorded After a sequence of questions and allegations that I had answered honestly and accurately to his sneers and accusations that I was lying and that CCTV would catch me out, he then let me depart from the station without a ticket that I had requested for my return. I hope you view the CCTV and I really hope it’s got audio to prove this. I have had to wait for SW letter to explain the situation, quite honestly I thought that he had made a severe error of judgement and dropped the matter by now. Therefore was concerned still active in this matter. I do have a multitude of return tickets since the event from various locations to prove that when I purchase these ............. station has no method to retrieve these from me. CCTV will show me at returning to ..............99.999999999% of the time at .....on all weekdays I am working. NOW -------- I have a threating letter in humour that they apologise for tardiness in late reply. Bill with threat of prison is a kind offer to pay in £179.20p in 2 installments and reply by end of month Summary ------------- Incident Oct 2 Their letter dated 16th Nov My letter response 19th Nov Their letter dated 13 Dec - received Sat 18th Dec Bottom Line ------------- ..........Its Christmas and I am skint - what do I do and would they even get a letter by 30th? I was prepared to fight £20 and lose - but £179.20p is a non starter for me in 2 months
