Hi there, I got a parking ticket when I was parked outside my home because there was a parking bay suspension. When the notice was first put up it stated it was going to be enforced on Friday 7th August at 8.30am-18.30pm. I checked this notice for the final time on the 6th August, the day previous to the suspension, on my way to work. Sometime during the day, however, they changed the noticed to say 8.00am-18.00pm. This gave us less than 24 hours notice to check for any changes. As we work all day and worked late that night, I didn't think to check it again as I didn't they would give someone such short notice. The next morning we looked out to our car at 8.02am and it already had a ticket on it. Does anyone more how much notice the council are supposed to give for these suspensions, as I thought it was 3 working days, not less than 24 hours. I have already objected on these grounds, but I have just got fobbed off. So I am looking for actual terms and conditions that these notices are meant to adhere to. Also, when the notice was changed my car was already parked there. So am I right in thinking that when the notice was changed, they needed to note down that my car was already there? If so who do I speak to about that? Any help would be great. Many Thanks.
