  1. Ah thanks for that. I have had other letters from them in the last 2-3 months chasing me, the first one was asking whether anyone with my name lived there, then they got progressively more strongly worded and i did just sit tight. It appears the debt from egg landed with them from another debt agency. I have been very illusive. I know its wrong to run away from debts but it all got too much.
  2. I have had a letter with a Statutory Demand stapled to it via 1st class post. Its for a debt of around £3000 for an old egg card which i BELIEVE to be over 6 years but cant be sure. I contacted national debtline and they gave me lots of advice but were unsure if it was an official stat demand and just a threat of one. I havent contacted any debt collection agencies over the years, ive either moved house and not heard from them etc. I also have no assets other than a cheap car and a cheap laptop, live in rented accommodation etc Debt line advised i should sit tight and see if they try and enforce the stat demand rather than get it set aside as i have never communicated back to them so they probably arent 100% that i am the person theyve been sending letters too, they could be sending this as a way of scare tactic and getting me to contact them. If i was made bancrupt it would save me alot of money realisticly and i did once consider bankrupcy as an option when i lived on my own. I now have 2 kids and my partner to consider. Sorry for been very vague, im in a frenzy of what to do, and really im unsure. Sit and wait, or, open a can of worms maybe and send them a letter?
