  1. Thanks dj. I've sent a letter in asking for the premiums back last week but failed to put any total as I really didn't know how much I was in for apart from the initial £702. I'll update the thread when/if I get a response.
  2. kennythecelt - I'm struggling to find exactly what kind of PPI I had, i'll see what Egg respond with first dj1971 - The loan ran for it's full term so first payment would have been around 28th of November 2003 and last payment being June/July 2006
  3. Well I was going through a shoe box trying to find a paying in book and came across some paperwork for a Egg Loan I took out in 2003 and bugger me it says I had PPI insurance on it. I've popped a letter in the post to Egg explaining why I think I was mis-sold this insurance and am awaiting their response. However I'm struggling with the single cover vs monthly paid premium as the documentation I have just states Loan Payment Protection and doesn't state what it is I was actually conned into accepting. Would someone be so kind as to work out how much they owe me (attached jpg of loan agreement)? If anyone needs any copies of the egg paperwork for oct 2003 then let me know I have everything in pristine condition. More than happy to scan and upload. h t t p://img408.imageshack.us/img408/3321/page1small.jpg

  6. Hello All, Recently I had a car accident involving myself and barrier which caused the car to be written off L To cut a long story short, I called the police & ambulance they breathalysed me which to my horror I failed but passed the blood test at the station. The blood test come back at more than half under. After sending a copy of the results to the ins company to show that everything was okay they are refusing to pay for a) the car & b) damage to the barrier because I was ‘under the influence’. I’ve spoken to them about this clause and what actually constitutes being ‘under the influence’, would a sip of a shandy be okay? They keep stating that each case is treated on its own merits. Has anyone else come across this before?
