  1. Hi, I am due to be made ill health early retired and subsequently receive a pension, £7k I believe, from my employers. My main problem is that this pension will not even cover my mortgage payments, £12k, over the year let alone any other costs. I am currently receiving long term incapacity benefit and DLA, Mobility and Care at the highest rate. These plus my pension will be higher than the qualifying threshold for Income Support. However I need Income Support so that I can have help with my mortgage interest and council tax otherwise I will lose my house. Is it possible to opt out of Incapacity Benefit in order to qualify for Income Support? Please say yes!
  2. Hi, am new to this and would appreciate some help! I am currently on long term sick (2 years 5 months) and was accepted for ill health early retirement in January this year. My employers are still paying me 75% of my salary as we are going through grievance procedures that I raised due to the way I was treated whilst off ill. My line manager has decided to stop my quarterly bonus wef 2009. I have always received this bonus regularly in addition to my salary. Does he have the right to do this? Also, under the new EU laws re holiday pay for long term sick. Am I entitiled to claim for these holidays? and can I back-date them? Thanks!
