Hi All, I had sued my ex-ll for not returning the deposit and harrassing my on his last e-mail. He made a counter-claim against me for two times the amount I was claimiing(£3000 X2) for damages and leaving the flat without notice.. He is absolutelty wrong and I got all of his e-mails- and contracts confirming that everything was alrightwith him (he even proposed to write references for me when I left ). However, when asked for my deposit (£780) he bullied me and insting that he never got it adn I was paying the last month`s rents)(On the deposit form of the agenmt clearly says that it is a deposit-while on the tenancy agreement the lines are blured. He also instisted that brought the house down( I left him a sofa and the thanked me and later he broke and stained it-how mental is this). Anyway. I decided to withdraw the claim as I was not willign to loose all my money in court fees and I informed the court. Howerever, it seems that he went on the hearing day and got a £5600 ccj against me as well. I have got all the papers and e-mails confirming that I am right. Moreover, I got the letter yesterday althought is dated on the 26/09/2009. The ccj orders me to pay that amount in one mounth. I fell totally disgusted and I don`t have the money pay. Any suggestions please????? P.S. He tried to set up the electricity on my name after I left and He alleges that I left him in the cold( Excuse me for not paying your bills after I left) ANY HELP APPRECIATED

I SET UP A INSURANCE POLICY WITH MYMOTORQUOTE ( THE INSURER WAS ZYRICH). THE TOTAL COST OF THE POLICY WAS £670. I PAID THE DEPOSIT(£143) AND THE FIRST INSTALLMENT(£78). I CANCELED THE POLICY BECAUSE I SCRAPED THE CAR. i WROTE TO THEM AND BECAUSE IT WAS THE 2ND MONTH I WAS EXPECTING TO PAY ONLY THE CANCELLATION FEES THE MOST. INSTEAD I GOT A LETTER FROM THEM SAYING THAT I HAVE TO PAY THEM £245 AS THE OUTSTANDING BALANCE WITHIN A WEEK. I CAN`T GET THROUGH TO THEM ON THE TELEPHONE(BECAUSE ITS WEEKEND BEFORE BANK HOLIDAY I THINK) THE LETTER WAS QUITE INTIMIDATING STATING THAT IF DON`T PAY THEM OR REACH AN AGREEMENT:-? I WILL BE DEALING WITH A DEBT RECOVERY AGENCY. I CANCELED THE DD. ANY ADVISE PLEASE!!!

hi, Please forgive my engish as I am a foreigner. I paid the deposit for my flat in my agent and have the deposit form with the cost breakdown. I spoke with the landlord for any problems I had. I replaced two sofas with landlor`s consent. Furthermore, when I rented the flat was advertise4d as council tax paid by the landlord. I wrote that dwon as an additional clause to my contract. Everything was fine until I asked to get my deposit back. The agent said they had given it the landlord and the ll said he didn`get any money from them. My deposit wasn`t protected as well( tenancy started at 06/09/2008). After numerous letters and email to both am standing on a point that my ll intimitaed that he will give my details to experian for the council tax and he will let the immigration authorities about my effort to extort him:-o( EU national). Also the agetn says that he has nothing to do with that and I didn`t pay any deposit but the last month`s rent( I have the deposit form though). Also the ll said that I am incompetenf of finding a job( found though). So this thing is starting getting quite personal. Can you advice about who should I make a claim against and the proposes route> i have sent letters to both of them. Thank you Guys
