Hi, In September 09 I recieved 2 letters out of the blue from Fredrickson Int. demanding £296.40 & £144.13. They claimed the debt was owed to Arrow Global LLC. As I had never heard of them and do not have any debt to anyone (except my mortgage!) I sent them the 'prove it' letter recorded delivery from this site. This morning I recieved 2 separate letters back: We refer to your recent letter to this office. Please find enclosed documents, provided by our client, as requested. We hope that this clarifies matters and look forward to hearing from you with your proposals for the discharge of this account. Yours... The documents were 2 Orange statements in my name for 12 months from Aug 2004, but at the wrong address. I have been an orange contract customer since 2000 and am still with them now. I have never missed a payment to them and have never been disconnected. I phoned orange this morning and they confirm that I do not owe them money from 2005. Please help! What do I go back to Fredrickson with?

Hi, I've had a bit of a problem with Bennetts insurance and subsequently with C.A.R.S DCA. I've been reading some previous posts and the excellent advice that has been given on this forum has (hopefully) done the job. I had bike insurance with bennets, £99 for the year which I paid monthly at 0% intrest. My renewal letter came though 3 weeks before it was due asking for £180!!! Yes, a no claims discount of -£81!!! After cancelling, Bennets demanded £30 cancellation fee. I asked them for a breakdown of this but they sent me a demand for £50.25. I phoned them and they told me to read my policy booklet. I did this and I do believe that I have to pay the £30 but I cannot see where the extra £20.25 is coming from. I wrote to Bennets (recorded) demanding a breakdown of the alleged debt and their justification within their T&C. The reply was simply: Dear Mr Montymongo, Account 12345 The outstanding debt of £50.25 on the above account has been passed to our debt recovery partners. They will contact you directly. Regards..... I hear nothing for 3 weeks then I start getting text messages from a witheld number saying "Urgent delivery call 08457....." and "you have a voice message call 08457....". I put the number into google and I came across this (brilliant) forum and discovered other victims of these texts from a company called C.A.R.S. I then started receiving phone calls on my mobile from another mobile number. When I answered there was heavy breathing so i hung up. Next day, new call, new number, same athsmatic caller. This continued 5 times with 5 numbers. I called them back and after about 10 seconds of silence "hello cars, please can I take your name and date of birth." I simply hung up. Next day I get a letter from CARS asking for £50.25 or they will arrange a doorstep visit! I sent them the letter from this forum saying that I do not acknowledge the debt and for them to prove it, combined with the bit about no legal right to visit my property etc. 3 weeks on and no response. Am I in the clear or what is their next step likely to be?
