I currently live with my boyfriend, and I have been living with him for well over a year, and we are legally defined as 'common-law'. A few months ago, our house got broken into, and a bunch of electronics were stolen, my possessions stolen included my professional camera and equipment, with an estimated value of $4,000.00. Our insurance company has been 'hemming and hawing' over it now for these few months on whether to cover my items. Please note I am 17 and considered my boyfriend's dependent as well. Is there anyway I can be sure to have my items covered as it is a HUGE loss to me?! Any advice is helpful! Thanks!
