  4. Dear sir I am emailing you with a very serious issue of breach of data protection act that your company has done I switched suppliers late last year and gave all my detail to one of your advisors who also took bank direct debit instructions He informed me I would receive a copy in the post as I had not long been living at my current address we went over all the details including my personal details And everything was okay a few days later a letter from eon arrived addressed mr. p boxx the partner of my land lady I gave the letter to him and a few hours later received a very disturbing phone call telling me they would be right round to show me the said letter. The letter was addressed to p box but the rest of the information contained in it was mine my name is mrs v brew in the letter all my personnel details were included the letter was my bank details name account number sort code everything that could be used to identify me, im appalled that you could give a total stranger access to such financial and private details but to add insult to injury when I informed your company via telephone to find out how this had happened I was lied to I was told it was a computer error as mr p box was the eon user before me at this address and the account was in his name but the direct debit was in mine I confirmed with mr p boxx who was at my home at the time of the call that he had not had any old accounts with eon and told them this was a lie he has never had an eon account and never would the only person to have had an any fuel accounts with this property is the landlady and it was with Scottish power. Since this breach of data protection I have had to close the account listed to get the direct debit as it has suffered from fraud and just recently it has happened again im left wondering who else have you passed these details to im very angry as ive had to close my bank account and now pay 17.00 pounds a mth for internet banking security to protect my money I feel you have let me down and am also reporting this to the ico. Also I have asked for the 1 mth outstanding bill to be put in dispute until this matter is resolved so will not take the threats that you callers who phone my home keep giving me saying you are going to put this in the hands of a debt collector as you can not do so if bill and account is in dispute so please aware I am aware of my legal rights and of the legal steps in place to protect me from this abuse I look forward to your reply on this complaint in the time limits set in your rules and regulations and please be assured I will follow up if it is not done so will you carry out a full review and respond to me within the guide lines set out by your web site . this is he letter i have sent via online complaints as advised by the girl on the phone from eon today but would like help drafting one to send recorded delivery to head office any advice helpfull thanks vikki
