Aaah, I see now. I thought you meant the charges were unauthorised. As in, the bank aren't authorised to charge me.

Sorry for my ignorance, but how can I tell if they are unauthorised?

A few times over the past couple of years I have gone over my overdraft, and also not had funds to cover a direct debit payments. On these occasions, RBS have seen fit to charge me the following: 6-Oct-05 £43.00 7-Nov-05 £43.00 5-Dec-05 £43.00 10-Jan-06 £30.00 9-Jun-08 £30.00 6-Oct-08 £28.00 7-Oct-08 £35.00 5-Nov-08 £28.00 6-Nov-08 £35.00 8-Dec-08 £28.00 5-Jan-09 £28.00 27-Jan-09 £38.00 Are these the types of charges I can reclaim? None of these are interest charges or Royalties service charges.

I have been to see my bank today to discuss my Royalties gold account which has cost me £15 per month over the past 10 years. I believed at the time I signed this up that I would need it to get a preferential rate for my loan. It turns out that I only needed to keep it going for six months after getting my loan, but this was never divulged at the time! I have since now canceled it. Is there any likelihood that I could claim these £15 charges for this account back, as I NEVER used any of the benefits, or gained any benefit from using it?
