  1. Hi heasy1, The Trainline.com are a waste of time, wish you luck but I am still awaiting refund on tickets that were booked with 2 weeks advance and only arrived almost a day after planned date of travel. In fact they were posted with almost 2 weeks delay! Station staff and train operator issued declarations approving refund yet Trainline.com is as silent as it can be. Customer Service? centre (wherever they are located) are useless at the best of times, this assuming one can understand them in the first place. Good luck!
  2. Just an update, I got a very polite call from them offering full refund of all charges in exchange for my cancellation of complaint with FSO. Accepted and got cheque in 2 days!
  3. Thanks winny14, In fact just received their breakdown of charges and they are asking for cancellation charges in full but disregarding fact i have already paid 1 month cover deposit online which was debited and not being deducted fron cancel charges. Actually they maintain this is a charge for cover received. In fact cover SHOULD have started only next Friday!!!! Wonder what would happen if I bash car and claim with them now....think they will cover me? NAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Am on to writing that complaint letter right away!
  4. I am having same problem, Swinton are charging me for a policy that never started! I subscribed online but when policy documents were received I was not happy with some details that DID NOT appear on screen at subscription stage, so I returned them as indicated in the terms and conditions. I have already been debited with the first monthly payment by debit card at subscription stage and they also want £10 service charge + £35 cancellation as apparently by subscribing online I have entered into a contract with them. Terms and condition state the total £ 45 cancellation fees, so I should either have the first instalment refunded or deducted from this as policy is not due to start until next week and I have cancelled it anyway. How can they charge for a cover that never started at all? Can anyone advise?
