  1. Great news!!! I cant believe it but the postman has just been and I have received all the statements going back 6 years. So thanks very much for the advice it really is appreciated. I will now be able to put my claim in. So even though i felt like giving up my advice is now to carry on as you will get there eventually. Thanks again to this brilliant site!! Abbi10
  2. Please can you help as my head is now spinning!! I applied for subject access request on 13th June enclosing £10 fee. To date I have received 12 months of statements ( I have requested 6 years ) and the usual letters saying that the microfiche records are not covered by the data protection act and therefore will not be provided. I have followed the template letters and the last letter i sent was the failure to comply. I phoned abbey 3 days ago and was told there was no record of me ever making any request though i have letters from Pam Spead.Today i have received a letter now saying that i have received all the data that i am entitled to and if i want the archived microfiche records I have to send £10 which I did on the 13th June. The letter also says that they are satisfied they have complied with my request I cant see that they have cashed my original cheque so where is it Mr Grant Allman Customer resolution manager I ask myself. Is this just another tactic to delay? We are currently being charged approximately £300 every month for back charges because we are going further and further over overdraft limit. (they must be laughing all the way to the bank as they say) Is it worth continuing the battle as i just dont seem to be getting anywhere. Sorry to waffle on but its so frustrating Any advice would be appreciated Thanks abbi10
  3. Hi I too have today received a load of seperate envelopes with statements for my abbey account going back to October 05. I also received a letter from obviously a very busy lady Pam Speed informing me that "unfortunately they cannot supply me with a list of charges going back 6 years as requested" However they will supply me with details held on microfiche but this will not be subject to the 40 day ruling. Also they cannot supply me with any manual interventions as they are not always recorded. Do you think i should wait and see if they do send me the rest of the archived info or go straight to the letter template for data protection non compliance. Thanks for you help abbi10
  4. Hi I too am justing starting off on the long road, but very determined as i have just checked online and have been stung for nearly £300 of charges yet again. AT one time Abbey wrote to us forewarning us that there would be bank charges taken out on a specific date, now we dont even get that they just appear!Anyway my first letter requesting the list of charges is being sent today. Many thanks abbi10 MODERATED CAN YOU PLEASE START YOUR OWN THREAD. (Please do not answer posts if a thread has been hi-jacked)
