  2. Bookworm - I'm also having a torrid time with barclaycard and I'm reading this and other barclaycard threads with great interest..... I hope that your claim is successful - The more you push, the more seems to be uncovered and comes to light for everyone on this site.... If you don't have one already, I'd suggest this one is stickied and moved to the top of the board!
  3. I'm watching this thread with greatinterest I recently sent a letter to Barclaycard asking for a list of all charges to my account and have received a reply of "you can have statements up to 2004 for £10 - additional statements are £3" You should have a look at the Motley Fool - There's a guy on there called Neil Faulkner (I reailse the names are similar, but I'm no relation!) that highly recommended & pointed me in the direction of this site. See his article here (with links to other articles on the same subjext) http://www.fool.co.uk/news/comment/2006/c060612d.htm?source=ioodftxt0010001
  4. I was extremely foolish & naive as a youngster, regularly clocking up charges for being overdrawn, going over credit limits, late repayments or non payments on the credit card (Barclaycard) and found myself in quite a bit of debt because of it, which I'm still trying to get out of. I found myself being chased by debt collection companies for the credit card and organised a debt repayment plan at about £75 - £100 a month (I've forgotten the exact figure) - more than I could afford, but I was young and concerned about a damaged credit limit at least, or going to jail at worst. When I found that I couldn't afford to keep up with paying £75, I would pay £50. However, when my next bill came in, I would find that charges (including interest & late payment charges) which amounted to about £53 - so although I was repaying a hefty figure, I was slowly but surely creeping further into the red. Where do I stand? What can I reclaim? Getting some sort of recompense would go a long way to repairing the damage I inflicted in my youth!
