  1. Whoops - sorry got carried away with elation - yes, great result and i am looking forward to sleeping tonite, it feels like forever since ive managed to switch off!!!! Thanks again
  2. I would just like to say a big thanks to all the advice i received this month when i had the baillifs coming to take my property after theyd conned me into a walking possession order. I am pleased to tell you all that the baillif has just been round and is sending my debt back to court. I am putting money aside to be able to pay some at court and arrange installments for the remainder. The last 2 weeks have been a living hell but thanks to your advice i feel victorious - living proof that we can beat the parasitic b******s THANK YOU SO MUCH
  3. There might be a legal difference between Quote and Estimate which might be worth looking into but the fact that you have paid is not going to help your cause, but you could stop him ripping someone else off. A quotation is a fixed price offer that can't be changed once accepted by the customer. This holds true even if you have to carry out much more work than you expected. If you think this is likely to happen, it makes more sense to give an estimate. You can also specify in the quotation precisely what it covers, and that variations outside of this will be subject to additional charges. An estimate is an educated guess at what a job may cost - but it isn't binding. To take account of possible unforeseen developments, you should provide several estimates based on various circumstances, including the worst-case scenario. This will prevent your customer from being surprised by the costs.
  4. Cant really advise you only up to date with gas or electrical problems but would reccomend contacting Trading Standards.
  5. I am having a bill of sale for all my belongings/possessions drawn up tomorrow and signed by myself, purchaser and witness, copies to be held by all of us, and copies to be sent to Rossendales, council and local councillor as well as copy to hand to attending bailiff. I will also email Rossendales, council and councillor and will download template letter to offer affordable repayment of debt. \thanks for your advice. Where can i find the letters on this site? I actually feel a great more peace of mind now and hopefully wont be the jibbering wreck that i have been lately!!!
