  1. Well head office say yes but it seems the store is still trying to get away with not paying anyone. We will see how much of a fuss has to be made before they see the light.
  2. UPDATE: Have had confirmation from head office that they have to pay him....I think the store was trying to pull a fast one.
  3. My husband got a phone call last Friday before his shift at work telling him not to go in as the shop was closing. They are now saying that they will not be paying him for that day. Now this was his contracted hours not overtime and he would have gone to work if they had not made the decision for him. Can they stop his wages for this day?
  4. Firstly a big hello to everyone..this is my first post so please be kind:) I am having a problem at the moment with my local housing allowance. Basically it has been stopped:mad: I got a letter on Friday telling me my claim has lapsed as i have failed to give them something (form/proof). I did my claim in the office and took all the needed proof and details in with me....I have been getting payments with no problems for the last 5 months. I have had no communications from the council to ask for further information but they have stopped the benefit as of the end of November (i only get to hear about it a week later:-x). I have phoned the council and they can't see why it has been stopped, so have tld me that it has to be passed to a particular assessor to look at. Turns out after three phone calls and a few "she is busy interviewing at the moment.....she will call you when she has time to look at it" answers, she hasn't even been there and isn't in until Thursday. I have made an appointment to go in and see her then as I doubt I will get anywhere on the phone. Anyway....I still don't know why it has been stopped, if I need to make a new claim or if they will be able to just start it again. I am worried that they will try and open a new claim only paying from that date, therefore losing me a couple of weeks of benefit. Not good, especially this time of year. Even if they do sort it I don't hold out much hope of any payments before xmas....making the pennies very tight:| I doubt there is much advice anyone can give me at the moment as I have little information but if anyone has had similar experiences any ideas will be gratefully received.
