  1. Hi, We have had a HP agreement with Ford for about 5 years and have about £1500 left to pay but fell behind recently and Ford have sold the account to Link Financial. Today we received a letter from them saying that they have bought the debt and that they want us to return the car or pay the outstanding balance of £1500 which we cant do. Can anyone advise as to the best course of action? Can they take the car? I was under the impression that if you have paid more than a third of the total agreement that they couldnt take it with out going to court? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance x
  2. Thanks very uch everyone. To ne honest I think that my brain was on over load from success! I will let sleeping dogs lie and accept that having the debt writtn off is success enough. it will ease my famiies situation so far do's. Many thanks though!
  3. Hi, I am wondering if anyone can answer a questions for me. Reliable Collections were pursuing me for a debt for Viva La Diva - a catalogue, following the CCA being sent they have admitted that they have no agreement, will write off the debt but mark my credit file. My questions is over the past few years there have been a few £12 charges added to the account for late payment etc - can I claim these back as there is no enforceable agreement? Thanks for any help in advance!
  4. How very interesting! I didnt know that - makes you wonder then doesnt it! Thanks for that Palma x
  5. No havent moved, that is one if the things that I found surprising as you would have thought that name and address would have sufficed! Thanks for the letter though. x

  7. Hi, Wondered if anyone could advise as to the best course of action? I have CCA'd BLS who took over a LLoyds TSB credit card account, we have been paying BLS for about 3 years through Payplan. When I CCA's BLS they have sent the details back to LLoyds who have written to us saying that they cant trace the account from the info given to them from BLS. The account number given is the one that we have been using for years and havent gor the original LLoyds one. Any suggestions as to how I can move this forward? Lloyds have asked for further details from us, dont feel obliged to hand them over even if I had them! Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
  8. They sent me a blank agreement and someone had written my name and address at the top but no signature! They are awful! Do you think that writing them a strongly worded letter highlightimg this would suffice? x
  9. Hi, Following sending my original CCA request letter to Reliable for a Vivaladiva account I have received a letter back with an unsigned agreement inside (!!) they have said in the letter that they will write the debt off but will mark my credit record for 6 years if they do. Has anyone got a letter that I could send them as I habe heard they cant do this - is this right? THanks in advance

  11. HI, I wonder if anyone can help. I am being chased by Abbeys in house DCA for an overdraft that has been caused by their charges. I have sent off the letter to reclaim them but does this put a hold on any action that they can take against me on this? Any advice would be appreciated!
  12. Thank you very much for your prompt response! Fingers crossed x
  13. Hi, Has anyone got a good second letter to send to creditors after the 12 days as expired following the initial CCA letter being sent off? Thanks in advance for your help!
  14. Hi, Have cca'd egg and mint last week, it has dawned on me that both credit cards were gained through an electronic signature, these accounts are about 4-5 years old. What is the law surrounding electronic signatures, do they constitute a valid signature? Any help would be gratefully appreciated as have about £7K on these accounts!
  15. Hi, Can you still reclaim bank charges from Abbey whilst the case is ongoing? I have worked out that they owe me about £2K - should I start reclaiming now or do I have to wait until the court case is finished? Their charges have put me overdrawn and I am being chased by their in house DCA. ANy help would be most appreciated. x
