hi, Today i received in the post a Notice to Owner document regarding an unpaid parking fine. i can verify i was parked at the location on the date & time in question but i distinctly remember there being no ticket on my car when i returned?!? i was working away that night so arrived at the location in question in the evening & was already running late so parked my car up without thinking (although not noticing any signs indicating times to park or not park, probably mainly due to it being dark - but obviously wasnt able to, hence the NtO!) but after working the night & getting some shut eye , i returned to my car & did not see any ticket attached to my car & now i get this letter through saying i owe £70 & its the first thing i've heard about it?!? i know you may have read things like this numerous times but i genuinely didn't know i had received a parking ticket & (grudingly) would have accepted that i was in the wrong & paid the "discounted" £35 fine but considering i didnt even get chance to do so i feel this as unfair. is there anything i could write/do so i could get them to accept a £35 cheque? as been as i was unaware of the ticket therefore not being able to pay the fine in the 28 days & be rid of it. or, if possible, out of it all together? although, i think it just may have been me being uncareful & not looking where i parked. thanks in advance! Ritchie also, if any other info is needed please just list as i have never received a parking ticket before & dont have any idea what is needed to help me, thanks again! Ritchie
