my 307 gearbox failed last week. It's a 51 reg 1.6 5dr GLX .. only done 42K. I took it Peugeot garage and after running diagnostic they said it will take 2-2.5k to replace gearbox and clutch. Not only that there are whole host of other problems exhausts, c/locking, water pump leaking, thermostat leaking and more - everything is falling apart. My advice never by french car! I learned my lesson.
