  1. Hi guys, Bit of help here would be much appreciated! We were served a Section 21 in April for our impending exit from our property in June. So far so good! We then asked to extend for 1 month as we were looking to buy a property. The purchase subsequently fell through so we asked to extend for a further six months (which was the length of extension they said would be okay) on top of the 1 month extension and it was all good. The landlord has now turned round to the agent and said it's a year or nothing, so we're moving. Given that we now have less than 1 month until our current tenancy is up...does this mean we have to be out in 20 days or do they have to re-issue a Section 21?!?! Flapping a bit it must be said!
  2. thanks for that - will give them a quick call now...may even pop in tomorrow.
  3. hi, This might sound petty compared to other problems on here, but any advice or thoughts would be welcome. I recently moved out of a property having lived there July1st 08 to june 30th 09. I rented through an agent and it was fully managed. I left the flat flawless, and in much better condition than when I moved in. The new tenants moved in on 1st July 09. So, I rang them today to find out where my deposit was. They said that they needed all my final bills before they could process it. I've paid all of these, but I've paid over the phone for all of them and have nothing to say they are all sorted. I know I will be able to ring the utility companies and they'll send something over but that will no doubt take weeks. Can agents with hold my deposit until they recieve the final bills? I've rented from a few agents and have never had to do this with an agent before. Thanks, S
  4. treid to fleece my colleague today - he said no to the charge, then cehcked on the net. Saw all the horror stories so went to his bank and told them about it. They spent an hour changing his bank account for him so they couldn't take any cash out. Barclays knew all about them and thier fraud. Bandits! they're up there with the Private Parking Companies!!!
  5. hey guys, so UKCPS have contacted me re: the ticket I got above. Should my next step be to just ignore them, or write one time saying please don't contact me again? thanks!!
  6. you guys really know your stuff! really appreciate all your help - feel much more passionate about stopping these b******s now - so I'll be preaching to everyone!
  7. one more thing - if i just ignore them and somehow they do find out my address and i still ignore them to the point of them issuing letters from debt collection agencies - would this affect my credit rating?
  8. Cheers Michael. Could they not look back and say ' we think it looks like a '2' on paper ticket so it still stands.
  9. hey guys, My permit fell on the floor in my work car park run by UKCPS and I promptly got a ticket. They say I have 7 days to appeal but must include payment and they will then give me a refund. Should I include the payment as the total might go up?!? Also, I just logged on to their site and the number plate they have down for this ticket is actually the wrong - only by mistaking a 2 for a Z but still wrong. where do I stand? Lots and lots of thanks in advance!! S
