As this is a problem common to many people, my present objective is to make contact with others, be they victims or attorneys, from other countries who have positive feedback. I am a permanent resident of Australia with American citizenship. This case is happening in America.

My Merril Lynch broker for two years has refused to work on my portfolio. Even ignoring my demands that he maintain a certain cash amount always available. The cash credit has become a debit and I am being charged margin charges as a result. As the market has crashed, no effort was made to mitigate my losses and thus my portfolio has taken a shocking beating. He just demands that I move my account. I was originally only after remuneration of interest loss, but now I feel damages and a substantial penalty are in order. I need a lawyer who is willing to state that I have a viable case based on his experience before asking for a retainer, as some already have.

I am looking for any data concerning Merrill Lynch specifically about deriliction of fiduciary duty or just lousy service.
