Hey everyone - I'm at my wit's end here and really could use some advice. For the first time, I overdrew my account by £15, inccuring the £35 guarantee payment fee, and the £10 maintence fee. Through a rang of other events and direct debits taken out, I was charged more guarantee payments and a refused direct-debit fee all of which adds up to over £140. My overdraft limit was meant to be increased a month ago, but they never did it and never contacted me until I went to the bank myself. I have had appalling customer service (one girl refused to talk about it and sent me to a teller who knew nothing, at another branch they said call telebanking, the telebank people said its a branch issue, the main branch in Glasgow said that I had a £10 fee removed in the past and they will not remove any other fees, etc). The manager said the £35 is a legit one and nothing can be done. Is this true?! I don't know what else I can do, I have no money and would not be over my limit if they refunded those stupid fees, £140 is a ridiculous sum for overdrawing your account by a few pounds. What is the next step in dealing with the Royal Bunch of Sharks?!
