  1. When I do that my computer sreen normally melts into a glassy goo as I have quite a lot of debt (all of which apart from this is being managed) is there anything I should be looking out for?
  2. If I have they have gone to old address and I have not recieved them.
  3. Certainly over 12 months but to be honest lost track of time a little bit.Yeah looking at the language it is easy to see how people can be intimidated by these people.
  4. Sorry for putting in the wrong place!Sorry I must not have made myself clear, I have not acknowledged the debt, I have acknowledge the email and said that I am seeking prefessional advice. And thank you for the responses and advice.
  5. Hi,I am seeking some advice, I am being chased by the lovely people at CCI after joining a Gym, going once and forgetting to cancel my membership. The sum is for about £236 and a couple of pence, I had no idea I was being chased for this debt until my former landlord called me to say that they had received a "legal letter" and wanted me to come and pick it up, I emailed the company and acknowledged the debt to which I received a letter back asking me to fill in a financial statement #and send copies of address, proof of earnings, other debts etc and get it back to them on that day. I have seen a draft letter on here stating that I will not be supplying personal information as it is just that, personal and that after seeking professional advice I will be updating them in due course, since then they have sent me another email today chasing payment and advising me to call them immediately. I have not provided my new address and advised them not to send any further correspondence to my old address, also I would prefer to continue this process by email. Can anyone advise me of the best way of dealing with this? I am willing to pay them a nominal sum per month but to be quite honest I would prefer them not to have any contact details for me other than what they already have. Also people have been mentioning checking that a signed CCA is in place but I am not sure this would applicable with it being a gym membership agreement. Thanking you in advance.
  6. First of all thank you for replying so quickly, they are not saying that she has to be comprehensively insured. What the Police have told us is that she can drive the car out of the compound but only under the supervision of someone who has been driving for more than three years and has fully comp insurance and without the clause about taking a car out of a compound. Are they incorrect in telling her that?
  7. Hi All, I have had a good look around and cannot find a similar thread, so apologies if something similar is posted. My Girlfriend's car has been seized she is on a provisional license and is insured, her son took her car out without her knowledge and got caught by Police his license is revoked and therefore the car has been seized. She now has to get a Fully Comp driver to go with her to bring the car home and pay the charges. This is where we are having problems all of our friends and family have either 3rd Party insurance or have a clause on their insurance stating they cannot collect cars from police compounds, we have exhausted all options. I have tried to call the Police but I was on the phone for an hour trying to speak to Merseyside Police and could not get an answer. Meanwhile the compound charges mount up! Is there any way around this? I was thinking about maybe towing the car but would someone still have to be in control of our vehicle? Please Please help!!!!
